Sledge Dogs Get 2-0 Win Versus Sitka
The Wasilla Sledge Dogs defeated the Sitka Capitals, 2-0, in Alaskan League action at Oceans Ballpark. Wasilla pitcher Ross Malloch had a standout performance. The save went to Phil Owbridge, his 5th this season. The Sledge Dogs, at 21-16, sit in second place in the Alaskan League Oiler.

The Sledge Dogs got a big at-bat from center fielder Samuel Lapthorne, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Sledge Dogs on top, 2-0.

"We'll savor this win," Lapthorne told the Wasilla Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
