The Taku Winds beat the Sitka Capitals, 9-5, at Sullivan Brothers Stadium. Taku first baseman Leo Howie had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Taku reliever Roberto Cervantes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sun Kuang took the loss. The Winds, now 10-5, have been red hot.

Early in the game, Howie had a grand slam home run for Taku. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Winds on top, 5-1.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Howie.
