José Ojeda was masterful in helping the Reno Zephyrs take down the Crystal Lake Sandgnats, 7-1. Ojeda got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 5.2 innings. Ojeda allowed 1 run. The Zephyrs sit in first place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills with a record of 41-25.
Paul Oglethorpe, who finished 5th in the IL in RBI with 110 in 2037, contributed to the Reno win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
