In a low-scoring affair between the Aguadilla Roadrunners and the San Juan Sharks, pitcher Manuel Piñal was the difference between victory and defeat. The Aguadilla left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Roadrunners win. Aguadilla reliever León Alonzo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Miguel Cordero took the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Gilberto Gonzáles.

Aguadilla used the timely hitting of Lorenzo Pisco to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Roadrunners on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Piñal told the Aguadilla Herald.

The Roadrunners, at 14-11, sit in first place in the San Juan Winter League.
