Late Magic Gets Trujillo Alto 3-1 Win
|
Ballpark of Aguadilla was the site of a tense game between the Aguadilla Roadrunners and Trujillo Alto Maracas.
The Trujillo Alto Maracas beat the Aguadilla Roadrunners, 3-1, at Ballpark of Aguadilla. Starting pitcher Domingo Pérez was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Pérez picked up the win for Trujillo Alto, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Picking up the save was Orlando Rúbio, his 2nd.
Trujillo Alto used a clutch hit from Víctor Soto to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Maracas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Pérez.
The defeat makes Aguadilla 4-4.
