The Scottish Claymores topped the Kentucky Thoroughbreds, 6-2, in Imperial League action at Raceway Park. The standout performance belonged to Scottish pitcher and Papillion, Nebraska, native Thomas Connolly. In 6 innings, Connolly surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The 'W' lifts Scottish's record to 41-24.

Scottish used a well-timed hit by Rob Woodard to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Claymores ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Woodard after the game.
