Cafe Tacvbas Pull Even With 7-3 Victory
|
2039 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Merida Adelantados.
Carlos Lima was a major contributor to the 7-3 Naucalpan win over Merida. The Cafe Tacvbas first baseman went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sergio Pinzón picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-9. He struck out 1 in 5.1 innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, Naucalpan catcher Juan Reyes had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Reyes stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Naucalpan. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Reyes. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
