Octávio Pexego Suspended Three Games for Inciting Fans, Undressing

San Antonio Calzones first baseman Octávio Pexego has been suspended for three games by the Office of the Commissioner.  The suspension comes in response to Mr. Pexego’s dangerous and irresponsible actions during Saturday’s game against West Virginia.

League officials expressed dismay over Mr. Pexego’s actions, which involved the destruction of a water cooler, endangering players and personnel by tossing equipment onto the field of play, inciting Calzones fans to litter the field with debris, and partially disrobing in full view of those in attendance.  These actions are not at all in accordance with league policy of professional behavior at all time for all of its employees.  Mr. Pexego represents not only himself but the San Antonio organization and the PEBA as a whole.  His poor behavior reflects on all of us.

Explaining his reasoning behind the suspension, Commissioner John Rodriguez, Jr. explained, "We've been down this road before with Octávio.  My father showed restraint in handing down just a one-game suspension for the previous infraction.  I have to take into account that the previous penalty does not seem to have curbed Pexego's impulsiveness.  I'll not have players undressing in public every time their team suffers a losing streak.  PEBA does not stand for 'Partially Exposed Baseball Alliance'."

The PEBA wishes to apologies to any fans who were traumatized by the sight of a grown man stripped down to his jockstrap.
