The emojersey

Saw this on the MLB site and thought I might have been on the PEBA site by mistake:

The Kalamazoo Growlers will be wearing a jersey covered in emojis this season

I ordered one... I collect hockey(35+), baseball(35+) and soccer jerseys (50+) (have a couple of basketball and football too).

I'm losing track of how many signs of the apocalypse this makes.

There may be an emoji for that. It might be on the jersey!

Heinous and comical at the same time. I wonder how many of those they actually sell to fans. Good outfit for nighttime jogging.

I had a lovely post written up about how much I enjoyed Northwoods League games when Mallards first came to Madison a few years back. They did promotions right, and the games were a lot of fun. I was introduced to the beer batter (half price beer for the rest of the inning whenever the opposing team's beer batter struck out), and all sorts of fun entertainment including a human cannonball one night after the game. Those things did bring us out to the ballpark. I also will never forget being subjected to my wife discussing the first circumcision she performed in med school with a curious friend, neither of whom cared much about the action on the field.

This promotion is a bit crazy for my tastes, and I don't really see the draw in getting fans to the field, but these small summer leagues should be encouraged to think outside the box.

They did a selfie jersey last year, which I bought then.
