Paintball

#1 Post by Vic »

I have recently discovered a new hobby...playing paintball. Just curious to see if there are any other paintball players out there. I am going to play in a couple of scenario weekends in the mid west this spring and didn't know if there might be any other PEBAites who share the same hobby.

No, I have never played, but could see how it would be fun. I basically like doing the same things in video game form; I'd probably like a real fake version. Don't live nearby though....

In a lot of ways it is like a video game, with elements of team work, strategy, competition - not to mention physical activity that make it a challenge and a lot of fun.

I've done laser tag. That was fun, but more of a free-for-all than anything else.

ya did paint ball years ago out doors and man what a blast.
It was an all day deal, lost my dad binoculars, got pretty dirty and slept like a baby that night.

We played a few different games that day.

Civil war where the two teams just lineup in a line and face each other at a distance the guides told us to and fired away til one team was dead.

Ghost town which they had a few fake buildings and other obstacles to shoot around.

I thought the funnest was capture the flag with medics. Each team had one medic that wore an arm band and if you got shot in a limb you had to stay put til a medic came and put a band on you. Then if you got shot again no matter where, you were dead. You had to find their fort somewhere in the woods, kill whoever was guarding it, capture their flag and bring it back to your fort to win. Great time.
