For all our board game fans in the house. Las week, I posted about Universal purchasing film rights to the Settlers of Catan board game. Today, The Washington Post takes a tongue-in-cheek look at how the script might shape up. I found it laugh-out-loud funny and I haven't even played Settlers of Catan. I presume those of you in the know will really enjoy this piece.Alexandra Petri of The Washington Post wrote:LEADERThe SETTLERS stand to attention.

The road is finished?
FIRST SETTLER
Are you kidding me? We just slaved away through the last eight harvests, selling all our sheep for bricks and mortar, so we could stop building the road right here? It’s in the middle of a field! It goes from nowhere to nowhere!
SECOND SETTLER
Calm down, Gogo.
FIRST SETTLER
You know who would love this road? TED STEVENS of ALASKA!
SECOND SETTLER
Gogo, it’s not worth it.

Brilliant!
I'm actually quite sure this is better than the eventual script they write will turn out to be...

This was great, thanks for posting it, John. My wife and I both had a good laugh and sent it to the folks we used to play settlers with frequently.

Ha...I finally read through the whole thing. "You aren't a very good robber" - classic.
