Pennants

#1 Post by Tyler »

Behold...beautiful pennants to commemorate your team's accomplishments!

Image

I will be making these for each of the eight playoff teams. At the moment I'm planning on updating them to reflect the furtherest level reached in the playoffs. The color code being as follows:

Wildcard = blue
Division = red
Pennant = yellow
World Champs = green

And yes, I realize that I made New Jersey's background the wrong color. Like I said, these are still in the "rough draft" stage.

I welcome all input on these!

I've sized them so that they will fit into your signature on the forums without increasing the height of your post. Any manager who wants me to finish theirs next so they can try it out is welcome to post here.

My input is that's just fabulous work Tyler. Absolutely beautiful. Any owner would be proud to wear those by his name! We can definitely hook up the playoff participants with these. Bonus CPs to you for taking the initiative on this!

it looks great, my only thought is that it is very hard to read the text on top of the peba logo

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

I'll try to make the PEBA text more readable in the final versions. I'll be able to make the final versions of these after each round of the playoffs as teams are eliminated. For now, here's the end of rough draft #1, the division winners:

I guess I'll echo Paul's sentiments that the text overlayed on the PEBA logo is a bit tough to read. Perhaps a different color for the font, or a stroke around the lettering? Beyond that I have nothing to suggest... these are simply awesome.

You know, after looking over the latest Playoff Odds Report, I feel like I totally deserve a "Pythagorean Whipping Boy" banner. :P

i've been noticing that all year. but it only means you're in that much of a better position for next year -- see tribe, 2006 -- when things will undoubtedly break the other way.

Here are the final pennants for the four teams who lost in the first playoff round.

EDIT: For some strange reason Bakersfield and New Orleans still appear as their old versions. I have no idea why, as I've updated my photos at the hosting site. Bizarre. I'll try to get that fixed soon, guys!

Absolutely beautiful Tyler! I have one suggestion: how about making the "Inaugural Season" text at the bottom of the blue banners white instead of black? It may show up a bit better. Regardless, these are simply outstanding. I hope everyone who's getting one of these sends a shout of thanks out to Tyler! :D

Sure, I can do that. Hopefully when I updated the images again the last two will update as well. Darn technology. :-P

Look for final versions of these this time next week.

ALSO!

If you have a request for a custom banner celebrating some accomplishment from this year (perhaps you won a writing award? Perhaps you were the "Pythagorean Whipping Boy"? or whatever else you can come up with) let me know and I'll see what I can do for you! :D
