Remind me in a few days to answer that trivia question. I want to give people a chance to get their guesses in before I spill the beans.PEBA Commissioner wrote:Trivia Time: Below are the four names that were considered for our league...
- Lower 48 Baseball League
- National Baseball Group
- Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance
- Triple Crown Federation
I've already mentioned that Eddie was behind the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance suggestion. Which of these four options did I suggest?

No. 1 doesn't make much sense with London in the league. I'm going to be different here and say number 3. Trick question!

Re: A Question for the Original Owners of PEBA
Well, let's have a little more fun with it, shall we? A poll has been added to this thread asking which of the four original name options for this league you prefer. We're heavily branded, so don't expect any name change for this little league of ours. Still, we'll have some fun with this.

I jumped the gun and voted before reading your post. I voted for what I thought you had chosen (NBG). No way to reset from vote huh?

Like Tyler, I was original in the fact that I was able to choose my team name and location and joined prior to the initial draft....I joined by responding to a post by John on the ootp forums...spent some time as IL president...and continue to enjoy this great league

Re: A Question for the Original Owners of PEBA
What does everyone think about pulling together a history of the PEBA? Possibly that would be the start of the PEBA HOF. It could show where the teams started. The change in ownerships. The change in team names. Any and all details that anyone cares to contribute.
It would be a nice touch if we were to do something similar to that moving forward for each team. A yearly summary for lack of a better name. Just as we were discussing weekly reports per team, having a yearly history would provide a way to be able to come back and see how the league and every team evolved over time. Possibly theses pages could be linked together in relevant manners as a PEBA wiki.
We could incorporate Michael's baseball cards, if we could convince him to create them for the key players of each year. We could have cards that showed changes in uniforms, well unless someone recreates that hideous Houston Astro strip look.
You could highlight a popular player retiring. Show the box scores for no-nos. Hitting streaks.

Re: A Question for the Original Owners of PEBA
I would love to see a PEBA historical section. Regarding the portion dealing with owners, the problem there is me. I'm the guy with all the info, and I tend to have a paucity of time for side projects. If someone got really serious about a history project, put together other pieces themselves and then started badgering me for owner history info, I'm sure I could get off my butt and compile a collection of data.

Re: A Question for the Original Owners of PEBA
Alan mentioned something to that effect. Stuff like that should be a "for fun" project, so I'm more than happy to let it progress naturally. As I mentioned, though, if/when that kind of project advances enough and the creator wishes to mine me for owner history info, I'm more than ready to step up.Bureaucrats wrote:Wasn't someone working on a PEBA wiki?
