That would be awesome--a beanball war in the All-Star Game! :-B

Kichida is retired on a fielder's choice. Cristian "Dracula" Butler of the Codgers enters the game. Pinch hitter Bradley Loyd of the Fishermen greets him with a double to left, and we have runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Butler is promptly removed for Crystal Lake's Merlin Peters.

What time of day did the game start? That may explain Drac's problem right there.

I sure as hell don't know what has gotten into "Blackjack" this year. :-?

I mean, prior to to 2010, he was a career .250 hitter. He was coming off a .729 OPS year for a power hitter and struck out 172 times! Not exactly going in the right direction. Now, would anyone have predicted Young at the age of 29 to be hitting .327 with 20 dingers at the All-Star game?????????

No love for Young this time. London's Norihisa Shibutani will start the 8th on the mound for the IL.

Well, well! Just when it was looking like this was going to wrap up quickly... with two outs, Quinones hits a single off of London's Luis Mora. Pinch hitter Pedro Silva of Canton follows with a 2-run home run to cut the lead in half! Yuma's Bud Hoffman is pinch hitting now, and Manchester's Jared Hughes is on in relief.

Well, at least we have Pew(BAK) and Silva(CAN) on the bench waiting to hit a couple of HR's!

Hughes gives up a double to Hoffmann, and Bakersfield's Pat Lilly strides confidently to the plate.

No sir! Swing and a miss! Lilly is retired, and we head to the bottom of the inning. Fargo's Raul "Abnormal" Pinto is the pitcher.

you guys are giving me whiplash! no, we know it was a good trade. and the silver lining is definitely that young is going to make $8m through arbitration for a 25 VORP year next year (if things work out for him).
