It's a downright frigid night for the sellout Florida crowd. Game time temperature is 66 degrees and a strong 14 MPH wind is blowing out to right. Charleston's Victor Matos gets the honor of throwing out the first pitch of the game.

As you may expect with such dominant pitchers, there's nothing doing for the offenses is the first. Markus Hancock takes care of his business in the bottom half.

Love that picture, Tyler!

We've got our first action of the game! With two outs, Matos gives up a deep drive to right by Ollie Morris. It gets caught in the wind and looks to be a sure-fire homer. Remi Young has other plans, though. Young races back, leaps up and catches the ball as it's going OVER the fence! "Blackjack" just saved the IL a run there, and we head to the bottom of the 2nd with "Fireworks" still toeing the rubber.

How special is New Orleans' Jeff Cline? He's putting up numbers that will be tough for any PEBA catcher to ever better. Tonight he leads off the bottom of the 2nd with a 415' blast against the preeminent young pitcher of our time.

I totally was in discussions for Young when he was languishing in AAA and I totally didn't have the guts to make the deal. :-[

The trick tonight? Go to right field! Having already robbed the SL of a run, London's Remi "Blackjack" Young puts a run up on the board for the IL with a wind-aided 394" shot to right-center. The IL goes with back-to-back jacks! How about this kid Young? I don't think he gets enough pub, to be honest.

A 2-out single by Kelly is followed by a shot into the right field corner by Florida's own Kevin McNeill. Kelly comes around to score, and Hancock is being pulled from the game in favor of Hoyt Howard.
