This is Part Two - ML Bench Coaches. An Excel sheet of the data is attached to this post.
SUMMARY
ML Bench Coaches average out nicely to almost exactly 70 per rating. The average bench coach pulls in about $625,000 a year. That's $45,000 less than the average manager, and fairly comparable.
Three teams have hired either hitting or pitching coaches to serve as their bench coach. I have no idea what this changes in terms of development, but these personnel are not included in the above averages. You can see averages with their data included in the attached document.
Best Bargains
Gloucester - The Fishermen have one of the best managers in the game, and one of the best bench coaches. Greg Brandt makes the league average, and he's kind of awesome.
Tempe - Tom Kidner isn't great, but he's good. He's also cheap. Really cheap.
Most Overpaid
Bakersfield - Ouch.
Florida - Ouch.
Important Qualifications
The "Best Bargains" and "Most Overpaid" awards are given solely based on OOTP personnel ratings, not team performance.
The switch from OOTP 7/8 to 9 brought with it the new personnel contract system, where personnel sign like free agents, instead of through our forum-based waiver system. This has led to an increase in average salary for all personnel. Keep in mind that current personnel were signed under both the old and new systems, and that this will create disparities.

Ha good to see Florida has some overpaid coaches. Ironically our staff payroll is not too bad in relation to others.
