Cannot download league file

Just to be sure, Rudel, how are you trying to import it in-game? Are you doing it from the Manager --> Home Page menu? If you are, I'd say it's time to take your problem to the OOTP tech forum and see if someone there has a solution.

I am doing it from the game tab 'load online league file'

Try browsing to the Manager --> Home Page menu and clicking the "Check for updated League Files" link. That's the standard place I advise owners to import/export from. In all likelihood it still won't work, but it's at least something to try before heading to the tech forums.

I must be blind, I do not see this option.

Are you sure you're on the Manager --> Home Page menu? If so, look to the far upper left of the game window. You'll see a box labeled "Daily Management". Below that will be the header "ONLINE LEAGUE FUNCTIONS". Right below that is a link labeled "Check for updated League Files". That's the one you want to click. If you're not seeing that link, you're not on the right page.

The Home Page is reached from the "Manager" menu bar option at the very top of the screen. You can also reach it by clicking the "house" icon at the far lower left of your screen.

Still get an error at 88%

Is there a text message attached to the error? This would definitely be the time to take this to the OOTP tech forums. You don't want to be going forward without the ability to import in game.

When I had that problem, it seemed around 87-88%, and it had something to do with the messages in the message folder. Not only did I have thousands in there, my AV was scanning each one. I can't recall if it was actually during the download or loading the league though...my memory's as shot as a Codger...

I should clarify - as shot as a Codger's memory...I mean, I'm not shooting a Codger or anything like that. Nor is anyone else, as far as I know.
