The PEBA 2009 All-Star Game: live blog from Aurora

#1 Post by John »

This thread will be used to relay action from the 2009 PEBA All-Star Game as it happens to you, the fans. By all means, feel free to post in this thread as the action unfolds. At this time the game is expected to get underway at 9 PM ET (start time subject to change - check back for updates).

The festivities have already begun, however. The 2009 Home Run Challenge is just about to kick off. Representatives from 18 teams will be competing to see who can knock it out of the park more than all the others. Keep an eye on the action and make sure to thank the sponsor of the '09 Home Run Challenge, Charleston owner Jon Constantine.

All-Star Game rosters will be announced shortly, along with a little surprise.

Here's to a good All-Star game. I am hopeful I will be able to attend one of these live broadcasts some time. (Still stuck at work).

Hopefully no one gets injured doing the game. May the best league one (IL of course).

So will the new file tonight include the 4 games previous to the ASG plus the ASG itself?

That is correct.

As soon as the HR Challenge tiebreaker is complete, we'll start tonight's game.

The HR Challenge has concluded. Congratulations to Manny Lopez of the Crystal Lake Sandgnats for coming out as the PEBA's top slugger! The Sovereign League gets bragging rights this year as the top muscle league.

Easy inning for McCullough. Nothing doing as we go to the 2nd.

Who says the SL is the powerhouse league? Florida's Mark "Ice Cold" Richardson has something to say about that! His 2-run jack (Morimoto walked in front of him) puts the IL up 2-0. The homer went 366' to left field (into the wind).

Kojima looks rattled out there. After the Richardson homer he's given up back-to-back singles to Manchester's Michael Kelly and London's Orlando German. WV's George Riley is coming up, but there are 2 outs so all Kojima needs to do is settle down here and get back to the dugout without further damage.
