London's Jorge Ruiz comes on to start the 8th for the IL and he'll face Angel Silva...

Silva swings and hits a 'duck snort' over the infield and into center for a lead-off single - which may mean trouble for the IL...

That brings up Ortega... And Ruiz walks him on four pitches as he was distracted by the presence of Silva at first...

Dominic Culpepper strides to the plate as the SL have a chance to extend their lead... and he bunts it - down the third base line - Aguilar has but one play , and he makes it with a strong throw to first for the out - but the Aurora pair are now at 2nd and 3rd with 1-out...

Coming out of the 'pen is Amsterdam's Carlos Romo and he'll be facing the Ghosts' Harold Stowe...

Stowe comes back from and 0-2 count to even it out, but he swings through a curve for strike three... two-down...

Out of the dugout to hit for Bean is Shin Seiki's Ryo Takahashi - and he, too, is greeted with THUNDEROUS BOOS...

Ryo turns on a 3-2 pitch and lines it past first into right - Silva scores, Ortega rounds third and heads home, Orocumojica comes up with the ball and fires a strike to the plate - OUT!!! Roberts with an excellent tag to end the innings...

But the SL get an insurance run as we head to the 9th...

IL - 4, SL - 7

It is Toyama's Motonobu Yoshida coming out in the 9th for the SL - but fans are giddy as their own - Earl Lucas is up in the 'pen and will no doubt finish the game...

Orocumojica, whose great throw saved the IL a run is up, hoping to contribute offensively... But he gets caught looking at a cutter that catches the outside of the plate for strike three...

And here comes Lucas...

And it's Dan Gore that he'll face first... and Gore rips an 0-2 pitch down the line for a stand-up double! The IL have life...

Coming out of the dugout to hit for Bermudez - the last position player for either team - New Jersey outfielder Denis Johnson...

Johnson rolls a 2-1 pitch to Ortega, who fields it cleanly and makes the putout to first - two-down...

and it's up to Victorino Anaya to keep the IL alive...

But he grounds the first pitch to short - the throw - OUT!!

And the SL WIN - 7-4!!!

For the SL it was 7-runs on 9-hits and an error, and for the IL it was 4-runs on 8-hits and no errors.

The winning pitcher was Reno's Jose Ojeda, and the losing pitcher was New Jersey's Yasuoka Seki.

Time fo the game 3:51.

The MVP was Duluth's Antonio Herrera, whose 3-run homer in the 3rd tied the game at 3-3. He was 2-2 and also drew a walk.

For the losing IL side, Dan Gore was 3-3...
