First Place?

We are ninety-one games into the 2036 season and the Reno Zephyrs are in first place of the Desert Hills Division? Even the Reno fans are having a hard time comprehending this fact. This Reno team is far from dominant but they sure seem to love home cooking. A big reason the team is in first place is that they have a .650 win percentage at home. A big reason to be concerned is that Reno's road win percentage is .431. No one seems to know what to make of the season for the Zephyrs. RF Steve Boyer has found his hitting mojo again, starting pitcher Jose Ojeda has supplanted Toby Ayers as the team Ace and the recently acquired Luis "The Phantom' Cruz appears to have found a fountain of youth somewhere in the vicinity of the greater Reno area. Most fans have no idea if this impressive run can last but, it sure is a pleasant surprise!
