GM RJ Ermola of the Crystal Lake Sandgnats, who is also the finance director of PEBA, presented a virtual zoom meeting prior to winter meetings regarding the state of PEBA league finances today from the Gnats' Charter Jet at 40,000 feet on his way to winter meetings taking place tomorrow. With PEBA's labor dispute settled and media deal finalize there was absolutely no interest in this meeting at all. There were only 10 players, team staff members and media members in attendance. Notably as is traditional, Florida Farstriders Owner Drew Streets appeared filtered as a penguin wearing a suite while counting poker chips with Gordon Knopp's face on one side and Luppe van Dam on the other side.

"First off I want to congratulate all organizations for increasing revenues five years in a row!!! This year PEBA revenue closed the books at $5.383 Billion for the season," stated RJ Ermola to begin the meeting. "The Ghosts and Knights were a net positive to the league last season and continued to grow their fan bases - not only did both these organizations expand our sport entertainment market share, but most of our teams expanded their attendance yet again and grew revenues once again too!" stated Ermola. While our standard deviation in revenue between organizations has grown slightly only 4 teams ended up in the red."

In regards to other data, Ermola shared:

League Revenue: $5,383,733,165
League Expenses $5,160,839,707

Highest Revenue: Florida - $272,027,197
Lowest Revenue: Charleston - $112,607,297

Average Revenue $179,457,772
Median Revenue $172,606,748

Standard Deviation in Revenue - $44,784,072

"As many know announced last season PEBA will continue to provide broadcast rights to Comcast International, Dish Network, Disney Sports, Rodgers Communications, SKY UK, Foxtel. PEBA negotiated a gross increase of $2,315,440,000 to $2,392,240,000 starting in the 2034 season then has agreements that it will increase to $2,623,355,000 in a future league expansion year to be announced.

This will result in per team an increase in media revenue increase from $72,357,500 to $74,757,500 in 2034, then $74,757,500 to $77,157,500 to be determined. However, in negotiating this increase president Brandon Johnson of the players Union negotiated a concession of an increase of the minimum salary from $510,000 to $560,000 in 2034 and then to $610,000 in a future expansion season to be announced. "

GM Ermola also announced a new accounting system:

"As a rapidly growing organization, 'PEBA' has always prioritized continuous innovation — both externally and internally. In addition to operating as a baseball organization, PEBA also manages over 150 different companies with 600 full-time employees. Prior to implementing our new accounting system, PEBA struggled to gain control, visibility, and real-time insight into our close processes each financial quarter.

As the we continued to scale our operations, we noticed that their reliance on spreadsheets and legacy tools was impacting our back-office workflows. Our organization’s finance team previously spent a significant amount of time manually matching and reconciling accounts rather than dedicating their time to value-adding initiatives. Over time, this dependence on legacy tools and systems prevented the PEBA’ finance team from being as effective and efficient as possible.

We hope that given our continued growth our new accounting methods will prove effective."
