Changes galore for the IL as Manchester's Bill Knight comes on to pitch... Wally Glasser of San Juan comes in in left, Carlos Garza of West Virginia comes in to play 2B, San Juan's Tracy Young comes in at 1B and the Scottishes Manuel Gonzalez comes in to play short...

Francisco Fernandez comes on for what is likely his last AB of the night, and he grounds it sharply up the middle, past Garza for a base hit...

That brings up Jim Fox. Fox looks at two strikes before he lifts one high and shallow towards the left field line, which Glasser handles easily...

Out of the dugout comes Alfonso Gonzalez, Fargo's 2B to hit for Malone, and likely stay in the game. Gonzalez swings and misses at two pitches, then chops one to first - Young fields it and makes the play at second - but it's all to slow and Alfonso reaches on a fielders choice...

That brings on Duluth infielder Noah Hill - the Fishing Champ, to hit for 'El Cid' and no doubt play short. Hill has had a fine season and he continues that, lacing a ball down the right field line - Gonzalez easily scores from first - with Hill taking third on the throw - call it an RBI double - and the SL is up 8-6...

Ornelza stays in, and he singles with 2-out, bringing in Hill - it's 9-6...

Jason Box of New-Tokyo comes on to run for 'Megavolt' while 'Bullets' - Gustavo Lopezz will hit for 'Gorilla'. But Lopez can't extend the lead - swinging and missing for strike three, to end the inning...

That's another two runs for the SL... Heading to the bottom of the 5th...

Duluth's Eric Elliot comes in to pitch the 5th along with some other moves. Box and Lopez indeed stay in the game, and Reno's Ricck Coughlin comes in to replace Sanchez at 3B, one 'Gnat comes on to replace another, as Clarence Carpenter comes in for MCCausland, Bakerfield's hot young catcher, Maura Mata comes in to catch and Yuma's Jose Barajas will come in to play CF for Fernandez... Out in the on-deck circle for the IL are Antonio Canseco, of Kentucky, Alejandro Lujan, the batting champ from West Virginia and catcher Agostinho Bessy form New Orleans...

Shockingly, Elliot goes full to Canseco before walking him to lead-off the inning...

Lujan wastes little time and rockets one to second - Alfonso Gonzalez drops it, picks it up and still has time to force the runner at 2B...

Bessy takes a 2-1 pitch and loops it into center - Lujan has to wait to see if it falls - it does, and he heads to second...

That brings us to the top of the order and Francisco Rodriguez of Kentucky comes out to replace Gordon Knopp. Kentucky's power bat is over-anxious, and he pops one up foul, which Mata handles on the edge of the dugout...

That brings up Manual Gonzalez, he takes one between the shoulder blades as Elliot tries too hard to pitch inside on the Scottish shortstop...

Tracy Young comes up for his first at bat, and he gets a smattering of applause from the Coqui fans in attendance, but he rolls one softly to second, where Gonzalez handles it easily...

Heading to the 6th...

Charleston's Adrik Glindzich comes on in the 6th to face Rick Coughling, Clarence Carpenter and Mauro Mata...

Coughlin sharply lines a 1-0 pitch to right for a lead-off single...

Carpenter stings one to right on a 2-2 count - and Coughlin turns second and challenges Canseco's arm - and was that a mistake - OUT!! by a mile - with Carpenter taking second on the throw...

Mata lines a 1-0 pitch up the middle - and Carpenter rounds third without a look... Francisco Rodriguez up with the ball and the strong throw... SAFE!! Carpenter still has those wheels, Maura with the RBI single, and it's 10-6...

Yuman Jose Barajas looks at a pair of balls before he finds himself behind on a pitch and looping it into foul territory along the right field line - with Canseco actually catching it in fair territory...

That brings up Madison's DH, Pablo Garza, hitting for Fox. He swings and misses a pitch, before grounding it right at Gonzalez, who makes the easy play at second to ent the inning.

Another run for the SL... on to the bottom of the 6th...

Tempe's Warren Manning comes on for the SL in the bottom of the 6th, and he'll face Pedro Ferringo, hitting for 'Matchbox', Garza and Glasser...

Ferringo, the long-time DH of the Borealis, and now in West Virginia for his third season, walks on a 3-1 pitch to start the 6th...

Teammate Carlos Garza comes up, and on a 1-1 pitch we see something new for this game - a 4-6-3 double play!!!

Wally Glasser swings at the first pitch he sees, grounds it to Noah Hill, who makes the throw to first for a 1-2-3 inning - the first of the game...

Heading to the 7th...

Kentucky's Chris Brown comes on in the 7th for the IL...

Alfonso Gonzalez lines one up the middle - Manuel Gonzalez dives and knocks it down, but it rolls into the outfield for a single...

Noah Hill takes the first pitch and hugs the line - past Young, and Noah chugs into second while Gonzalez hustles into third...

Jason Box takes a 2-1 pitch and grounds it to short - Gonzalez makes the play at first - Gonzalez scores - 11-6...

Brown get's Lopez swinging on strikes - and it looks like that will be his last batter, as San Juan closer Jose Gomez hustles into the game...

Gomez throws one pitch to Coughlin - and gets him to ground it to Garza for the third out...

It's the 7th inning stretch...

Okinawa's Juan Castro - no not that Juan Castro and not the Castro, comes on for the SL...

Antonio Canseco comes on in the bottom of the 7th, and down 5, the IL's chance seem to be dwindling. Canseco works the count full before rolling it to Lopez at first, and he makes the easy play...

Lujan grounds a 2-2 pitch up the middle, but Hill ranges to his left and fields it quickly - and a quick throw beats Lujan to first...

And that will be all for Castro, as Tempe's Jason King comes into the game...

And Jason King makes short work of Bessy, striking him out looking on a 2-2 pitch... Another 1-2-3 inning for the SL...

Off to the 8th...

Now pitching for the IL is Hartford's Mike Bernard and he'll face Kalamazoo's Ruben Jimenez, who will take over for Clarence Carpenter...

Bernard serves up a tight 3-1 pitch, but Jimenez checks his swing and takes ball four...

Jimenez' time on first is short lived, for before Bernard throws a pitch to Mata, his pickoff throw to first gets away and Jimenez hustles to first - and with that, Bernard grabs his side and walks off the field, and with that, sprinting from the bullpen is Bob Burns, now with his fourth team in as many years...

Burns first pitch to Mata results in a lazy fly to right - but Jimenez tags and hustles over to third...

Yuma's Jose Barajas works the count full, before hitting a soft liner right at Gonzalez for out number two...

But Burns has a history - that's why he was out in Aurora, and Garza smokes a ball in the right-center gap - Garza rolls into second with an RBI double...

Alfonso Gonzalez takes a strike, then lofts a fly to center - right at Rodriguez...

We move to the bottom of the 8th...

Marvin Moore, of Kalamazoo comes in to pitch for the SL, and Palm Spring's Pablo Ortiz comes in to relive Noah Hill...

Moore get's Rodriguez on a fly ball to the warning track, but Jason Box hauls it in... and that will be all for Moore, as Cleve Douglas comes in...

Douglas, traded this morning from Niihama-shi to Toyama, wearing his Ghosts uni as the lone representative of the Ghosts...

Manuel Gonzalez takes a couple of balls before grounding it to his counterpart, Ortiz, making the play...

Tracy Young lifts a lazy ball down the left field line, box handles it easily, inning over - the IL have one shot left...

Heading to the 9th...

Hartford's dominant closer, Matt Brown is o to pitch, with Havana's 'Puddi'' Perez throwing in the 'pen - to a crowd already growing in anticipation...

Pablo Ortiz comes up and he grounds one into the hole, under Gonzalez' glove for a lead-off single...

Jason Box takes a ball as Ortiz takes off for second - just getting under the tag for a stolen base...

Box grounds it to third, where Lujan easily makes the play - Ortiz holding at second, and 'Puddi' walking in from the 'pen to the roar of the crowd...

Gustavo Lopez hits a fly ball to center - Rodriguez needing only a few steps to his right to make the play...

Rick Coughlin turns on a pitch and drives it to left... Glasser moves back... to the wall... in front of the wall... AND HE MAKES THE CATCH!!!

We are off to the bottom of the 9th...

Aurora's rookie Pedro Morales will come in to pitch, with his fellow rookie, Ryan Tate and his 20 saves, in the 'pen to finish up...

Morales faces the former-Aurora All-Star Ferringo, who doesn't look at too many before lining a single up the middle to start the inning - will it be a big one?

Carlos Garza, like Ferringo, doesn't wait long before swinging and lifting one to left, easily handled by Box... And here comes Tate to close it out...

Wally Glasser swings at the first pitch and lines it past Lopez, down into the corner - Ferringo scores, Glasser rolls all the way to third... 12-7...

Bartolo Mora of Florida comes in to hit for Canseco... and he dribbles it back to Tate on the first pitch. Glasser holds - 2-outs...

That brings up Bill Jones, who will hit for Lujan. Jones takes a pair of strikes and then grounds it right to Gonzalez to end the game...
