Looking to move RF DeWitt Barry for a single prospect/pick. Also shopping AAA 1B Quentin Hamilton who is a decent looking prospect. I'm always willing to talk business on other, big, deals.

Ken - Farstriders 8:21 AM
rule 5 guys are available and looking to be moved for picks and organizational filler with less than 2 years professional time

Mike - Borealis 8:21 AM
~~~ rolls over, opens one blurry eye, tries to focus on the clock, thinks 'you guys gotta be kidding me' ~~~
Ken - Farstriders 8:21 AM
theres no kidding in baseball, mike
Mike - Borealis 8:23 AM
I thought that was crying - no crying in baseball... when did they get rid of kidding in baseball...?
8:23
Oh, right - when they brought in Manafort - now it's all jokes - jokes allowed in baseball...
Michael - Malts 8:24 AM
Good morning all, Madison is here. All is calm, everything is calm.
Dan - Ghosts 8:29 AM
That didn't sound very convincing, Michael.
Michael - Malts 8:29 AM
:sweat_smile:
Ken - Farstriders 8:30 AM
florida's front office had our holiday party last night. none of us are feeling very well.
8:30
we should stop doing parties right before the draft and winter meetings
8:30
i blame rj and the sandgnats organization in general. (edited)
Scott-Duluth 8:37 AM
“Trading top 10 prospect” during winter meetings question. Top 10 in PEBA overall? Top 10 in the individual organization? Asking for a friend who doesn’t know I’m asking and also doesn’t know me. :thinking_face:
Michael - Malts 8:38 AM
Which view are "they" looking at?
Ken - Farstriders 8:38 AM
i always took it to mean top 10 of OSAs list
:+1:
8:38
on reports
Mike - Borealis 8:44 AM
I think it’s top 10 in your organization - otherwise, only the F’heads could gain that bonus…
8:45
Oh, sorry… I meant Fartriders…
8:45
Darn…. Need coffee… FarSTRIDers…
8:46
Can I blame autocorrect? (edited)
Dan - Ghosts 8:52 AM
I think Mike's correct
Mike - Borealis 8:57 AM
If a player qualifies that way, a team needs to give me a heads up - I won’t be chasing through rosters…
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:24 AM
I'm here-ish
Evan - Underground 9:30 AM
We appreciate the league locating our table nearer to an outlet this year so we can plug in our electric kettle without creating a tripping hazard daisy chaining extension cords as in prior years
9:30
On a related note if anyone would like a spot of tea, please visit our table. It's the one with the flag.
:gb:
1
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:31 AM
What flag are you flying at your table, Evan?
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:31 AM
@Evan - Underground We have stroopwafels. We need tea to dip them in. Let's trade! (edited)
Greg - Alleghenies 9:32 AM
I am flying our new Championship Flag at our table.
Marco.C - Calzoneros 9:33 AM
Hi everyone, I'm here ready for the Winter Meeting :baseball:
Evan - Underground 9:33 AM
While typically we would only present the proud Union Jack at such an occasion @Yuma we have added a smaller Scottish flag this year in honor of Vic. It was a tense debate given Scotlands continued insistence on being treated as their own country but we felt it was right to do.
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:34 AM
My wife is already annoyed that I missed something she said to me. #winter_meetings
Michael - Malts 9:35 AM
Frank...
Greg - Alleghenies 9:35 AM
@Frank - Amsterdam Lions my wife is mad I am not on couch upstairs watching kid game online (though she can't play and I have it on down here)
Michael - Malts 9:35 AM
I am right there with you
9:35
the glare i am getting for being online mid day..
Kevin - Evas 9:35 AM
I'm going to be running a little bit late. But I'll show up. Feel free to reach out I have slack on my phone so wide open for discussions
Greg - Alleghenies 9:35 AM
I said it's the Winter Meetings, they only happen 2x a year.
Michael - Malts 9:37 AM
That excuse doesn't work for me Greg
9:37
Pile on the draft.. 2x a year
9:37
Pile on the endless hours every night or so I am just looking stuff up
Dan - Ghosts 9:37 AM
My wife is mad at me because she forgot that I had this and she scheduled a brunch in the 45 minutes since I reminded her.
Michael - Malts 9:37 AM
It's the glare.. the i am doing something wrong glare haha
Ron - Akira 9:39 AM
Can we come up with something all our wives can do together during WM?
Evan - Underground 9:39 AM
My wife isn't mad at me. #winning
Ron - Akira 9:39 AM
A PEBA wives club?
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:39 AM
@Evan - Underground I see that Scottish flag. Bravo! And if I wander over there, what kind of tea will you be serving? Scottish Breakfast or English Breakfast?
Dan - Ghosts 9:39 AM
"Go here and complain about how annoying fake baseball is."
:rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:
2
Michael - Malts 9:39 AM
PEBA wives club, I agree
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:40 AM
Wives? What are those?
9:40
Fake baseball????
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:40 AM
How many wives does everyone here have?
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:41 AM
I have negative 1.
Dan - Ghosts 9:41 AM
Just the one for me
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:41 AM
Bob wins
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:41 AM
Or loses.
Evan - Underground 9:41 AM
@Yuma we have both types. Plus Earl Grey of course.
Mike - Borealis 9:41 AM
Too many?
RJ - Sandgnats 9:42 AM
Good morning everyone.... wow what a party at The Streets Palace last night @Ken - Farstriders
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:42 AM
Earl Grey was a bastardly old guy and his tea tastes like perfume. But those Scottish/English breakfast teas are my favorites.
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:42 AM
Earl Grey in the study with the candlestick
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:42 AM
Throw him out!
RJ - Sandgnats 9:43 AM
I'm going to need something stiff in my tea for this headache :sunglasses:
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:43 AM
@RJ - Sandgnats You can have a stroopwafel
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:44 AM
@RJ - Sandgnats try rum.
9:44
Stroopwafels just get soggy in tea.
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:45 AM
Or worse if you leave them in there too long
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:45 AM
:scream:
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:46 AM
The best thing is to place them on top of your mug so that they get steamed but not actually wet
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:46 AM
Good plan, Frank.
Greg - Alleghenies 9:47 AM
It is officially winter meeting time for WV. The 3-footer has come out.
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:48 AM
3 foot what?
Dan - Ghosts 9:48 AM
Don't ask questions you don't want to hear the answer to, Bob.
Michael - Malts 9:48 AM
sandwich?
Mike - Borealis 9:48 AM
@channel If you want to get a quick export out, now’s the time to do it - they will be inputted once we begin…
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:49 AM
I wish to export Greg’s 3 footer right outa this chat!
9:51
Also, we got lots of $ to blow so send us your bad deals
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:51 AM
Seriously, Greg, is that a vase or a glass baseball bat?
Dylan - Wind Dancers 9:51 AM
Tempe was quick out the gate and managed to grab the only 2 free agents so far
Justin - Bureaucrats 9:51 AM
@Brian - Tempe want Hatsutori?
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:52 AM
Yuma’s offers were all rejected.
Greg - Alleghenies 9:52 AM
Bob. Take the first to letters of your name and then add NG.
Brian - Tempe 9:52 AM
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:52 AM
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:54 AM
Let’s hum a tune on our kazoos!
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 9:54 AM
My kazoo broke
Jaime - Kalamazoo 9:54 AM
Got caught up on the way to the meetings. Received some free agent calls. These guys are out of their minds with their requests.
Yuma:palm_tree: 9:54 AM
Duct tape it, Frank!
Brian - Tempe 9:54 AM
@Dylan - Wind Dancers thanks. The clubhouse was not happy about the Allen signing... turns out he’s a deadbeat
Cristian - Dinosaurs 9:54 AM
I'm doing some errands but should be active soon and looking to move one of the two SP's (Imai or Dempster) on my roster and/or perusing the market for a 1B on a short deal (salary isn't an issue though, just 2 years or less left ideally). Feel free to message me directly anytime though. (edited)
Greg - Alleghenies 9:55 AM
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:03 AM
We only allow limited and proscribed use of WORDS here at the hospital.
Dylan - Wind Dancers 10:04 AM
@channel Reminder that ALL trades should be sent to me via slack. Once they are announced, you may THEN post them in the forums.
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 10:05 AM
Do Evan and I have to send you our trade of tea for a stroopwafel?
RJ - Sandgnats 10:05 AM
Mike - Borealis 10:05 AM
There’s a murmuring by the doors to the Asheville Hotel Ballroom, and through them PEBA GM ‘Harry’ Castle comes through, followed by a quartet of bagpipes…
Greg - Alleghenies 10:08 AM
Mike - Borealis 10:08 AM
It was in many respects an historical year for the PEBA – a year that saw a team win 100-games and not make the playoffs, the continued surge of the Kalamazoo Badgers, and the late season run by the Amsterdam Lions. Commendations go out to all those GMs - Dylan, Jaime and Frank…
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:08 AM
Yeah, me too. Like 96 or something.
Mike - Borealis 10:08 AM
I would also like to congratulate the 2032 Championship GM, Greg, who takes home the Rodriguez Cup for a second time, and whose minor league system success has been phenomenal...
Dan - Ghosts 10:08 AM
Lastly, I’d like to congratulate the 2032 PEBA GM of the Year, Scott, of the Reno Zephyrs, who road an amazing 21-3 April to a 2nd Desert Hills title, before a heartbreak loss to the Sovereign League Champion Neo-Tokyo Akira – who won their first division title – ever – including their 14-years in the LRS, and first SL title.
Congrats @Scott - Zephyrs on the award!!!
Mike - Borealis 10:12 AM
Today, we have a number of things to discuss, but as we know, this is a day where trades go wild – we already have a number in the hopper – so let us go through the trade protocol for today’s event – it’ll be a little different, as Dylan has already pointed out…
10:12
ALL trades should be sent to Dylan via Slack. When you have agreed to a trade, please group Dylan and the GM you are trading with in a Slack message detailing the trade. The other GM will be required to confirm said trade, for it to be formalized and processed. Once the trade has been announced to the group you and your trade partner will need to post and confirm in the forum’s ‘Completed Trade’ thread.
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:12 AM
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 10:13 AM
So complicated!
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:13 AM
Too small.
Mike - Borealis 10:13 AM
AND… Please be sure to format your trade announcement properly, with the players noted position and organizational level (minor leagues) – it makes processing the trades far easier. Thank You.
Dan - Ghosts 10:13 AM
@Scott - Zephyrs Great show!
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:13 AM
A sus ordenes, mi capitan!
Scott - Zephyrs 10:13 AM
Love it!
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:14 AM
PEBA is the PROTO universe!
Mike - Borealis 10:14 AM
And our players just PROTOPLASM?
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:14 AM
We’re all just that, Mike.
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 10:15 AM
We are all made of star stuff
Mike - Borealis 10:15 AM
Before we get to the fun stuff, I want to take a moment to remember a member of the PEBA Community. As you may have read, Vic Caleca, GM of the Scottish Claymores and truly one of the great gentlemen of the League, passed away the other day, succumbing to what we believe to be complications of a recent surgery. The Board wishes to send our prayers and thoughts out to his family. We’d like to take a moment to remember Vic.
Mike - Borealis 10:18 AM
Marco.C - Calzoneros 10:18 AM
We're gonna miss Vic
Greg - Alleghenies 10:18 AM
When Vic came in the league, he took over my former LRS team and would contact me a lot. We had many a connection in this league and had many connections in and out of the league. So WV has a quick Press Release. The logo was done by our commish.
Marco.C - Calzoneros 10:18 AM
So sorry to hear that
Greg - Alleghenies 10:18 AM
WV Press Release:
10:19
While the world of PEBA and real life run in parallel, sometimes tragedy in one crosses over to the other. As the league has heard the wonderful GM of Scotland Vic Caleca passed away on March 1 (IRL). The front office and team in West Virginia are deeply saddened by his passing. Vic had talked with me frequently and would often tell him how he was rooting for his team, except the one time they met in the playoffs. What made those conversations so special, were most of them usually did not involve West Virginia, but they would talk about the Scottish and their history or even our personal lives. Vic had a love for the history of his team and as I used to run the team back when it was in the LRS as Fushi Yugi and had most of the history still in my brain. Those talks will be missed and after speaking with management, the West Virginia Alleghenies will wear a special patch to honor Vic this year. We hope to have a season that would make Vic proud, but the one thing that is certain, you will be missed fine sir.
Mike - Borealis 10:27 AM
Matt is currently living in China and Jason lives in Korea, so I do not believe they are with us today…
Greg - Alleghenies 10:28 AM
I doubt Matt will be here today.
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:28 AM
The Maulers receive SP Felipe Aguilera and Madison’s 1st Round Draft Pick (10th), while Madison receives RF Taki Takata…
Dan - Ghosts 10:31 AM
Check's in the mail, @Michael - Malts
Michael - Malts 10:32 AM
Haha, send it to the PEBA office, it's 60% their's
:joy:
1
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 10:32 AM
I hope it’s a cashiers check.
Michael - Malts 10:32 AM
Or more than 60%
Kevin - Evas 10:32 AM
Alright. Finally settled in here. The Evas are open for business.
I am looking to add impactful talent at the PEBA level, especially at 3B.
The #7 overall pick is available. Most prospects are available too, except for Yi, who is practically untouchable. The asks on OF Krebs (AAA) and RP Andrews (AAA) would be steep too.
There is some budget room available to add salary. Cash is always an option too.
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:32 AM
Theirs is not to reason why
Theirs is but to trade and sigh!
Reg - Trendsetters 10:33 AM
hey everyone. sorry i'm late!
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:33 AM
You missed the bagpipes, Reg.
Patrick - Havana 10:33 AM
nice lap time Reg! :slightly_smiling_face:
Michael - Malts 10:33 AM
Yay, finally an outfield prospect I can truly get excited about. Had to send Jeff an offer he didn't have to ponder to much because I got sick of being turned down elsewhere
Mike - Borealis 10:33 AM
The Commissioner would like to ask to the podium RJ, GM of the Sandgnats and PEBA CFO, and Union Chief Brandon Johnson…
Reg - Trendsetters 10:33 AM
haha thanks Patrick!
RJ - Sandgnats 10:33 AM
Hello, Hello everyone......
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:33 AM
There’s a podium?
Justin - Bureaucrats 10:33 AM
RJ - Sandgnats 10:34 AM
Dan - Ghosts 10:34 AM
Not as far as you're concerned, Bob.
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:34 AM
Thank you, Dan.
:joy:
Scott - Zephyrs 10:34 AM
Patrick - Havana 10:34 AM
:joy:
RJ - Sandgnats 10:34 AM
We have completed our negotiations with our media partners and I would like to share those results with everyone....
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:34 AM
Every time I stand near a podium I get the urge to pee.
RJ - Sandgnats 10:34 AM
We will continue to provide broadcast rights to Comcast International, Dish Network, Disney Sports, Rodgers Communications, SKY UK, Foxtel. We have been fortunate be able to negotiate a gross increase of $2,315,440,000 to $2,392,240,000 starting in the 2034 season then we have agreements that it will increase to $2,623,355,000 in a future league expansion year to be announced. This will result in per team an increase in media revenue increase from $72,357,500 to $74,757,500 in 2034, then $74,757,500 to $77,157,500 to be determined. However, in negotiating this increase Brandon with the players Union has negotiated a concession of an increase of the minimum salary from $510,000 to $560,000 and then to $610,000 in a future expansion season. Yuma:palm_tree: 10:37 AM
Owners need less money too! Fans need major ticket price decrease!
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 10:37 AM
The increase in media revenue easily covers the increase in minimum wage
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 10:37 AM
Pffft. A truly dedicated GM would be here regardless of the time :face_with_monocle:
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:38 AM
I don’t want owners making money!
Patrick - Havana 10:38 AM
how are we gonna pay for all that Yuma water?
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 10:38 AM
When does the minimum GM salary go up?
Evan - Underground 10:38 AM
In 2033 the minimum wage in America probably still isn't even $15! Surely we can find some young lads to come play ball for that.
:point_up:
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:38 AM
All profits to the people!!!
RJ - Sandgnats 10:39 AM
The players were asking for a million min, but Slummings was able to convince them to take off a few 0s over a few glasses of Yuma water.
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:39 AM
That Yuma water is powerful!
Greg - Alleghenies 10:39 AM
Then GREAT JOB Slummings!!!
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 10:39 AM
Isn't Slummings still at Camarillo?
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:39 AM
What’s a 0 among friends?
10:39
Slummings is currently in the hopsital in Camarillo, yes, but they permit him phone privileges.
Evan - Underground 10:39 AM
Asking for a million min and settled for 560k? They did indeed get jobbed then!
Scott - Zephyrs 10:40 AM
So about 7 mill in increased revenue in exchange for 100 k in league min salary. Sounds like a good deal for us
Thus, under Financial Management in the Constitution, c) Teams that suffer losses in excess of -$25,000,000 (Season Profit/Losses figure) will also suffer a loss of one market size, will decline to -$30,000,000 with the basement for owner contribution bailing a team out being -$40,000,000…
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:43 AM
(holding breath)
Ron - Akira 10:44 AM
No idea what that means
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:44 AM
Money … numbers … zeroes … probably don’t mean a damn thing.
Michael - Malts 10:44 AM
Madison is open for business to explore moving 1 more arm, or even considering moving 3B Sanchez
Kevin - Evas 10:44 AM
Is the rule adustment talking about debt or "losses"? Teams can suffer big "losses" by spending more than they take in and not be in debt. (edited)
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 10:45 AM
Ron I think it means “don’t lose a huge amount of money”
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:45 AM
Just look how many losses Yuma has suffered, but we’re not in debt.
Evan - Underground 10:45 AM
Well, it means you can lose 5m more than you used to be able to
Re: 2032 Winter Meetings Transcript
#2 Post by Borealis »
Mike - Borealis 10:46 AM
The Ghosts and Akira have agreed on a deal:
Neo Tokyo receives Okinawa’s 2033 5th round pick and Niihama’s 2033 6th round pick, while Niihama-shi receives P Cristian Contreras (PEBA) and RP Dave Jones (AA)…
Dan - Ghosts 10:46 AM
@Kevin - Evas works the same as before - it doesn't account for cash. Better but not ideal IMO.
Frank - Amsterdam Lions 10:46 AM
No reason to care about a loss if you're still solvent.
:100:
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:46 AM
Thanks, RJ @RJ - Sandgnats We keep losing and we keep making money.
Ron - Akira 10:46 AM
Exactly
Kevin - Evas 10:47 AM
All it does is protect big budget teams.
Mike - Borealis 10:47 AM
@Kevin - Evas that’s the Season Profit/Losses figure…
RJ - Sandgnats 10:47 AM
@Yuma My owner keeps tell us to manage our funds like Slummings... Apparently Slummings and Dole went to boarding school together
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:48 AM
I doubt Slummings ever went to boarding school! Boardless school, maybe.
10:49
And which DOLE is that? The fruity Dole, Bob Dole or Dolé Hill?
RJ - Sandgnats 10:49 AM
Charles Dole IV
Mike - Borealis 10:49 AM
Next up, I’d like to invite @Brian - Tempe to the stage, to share with us news out of the Desert portion of the Desert Hills…
Yuma:palm_tree: 10:49 AM
Brian - Tempe 10:50 AM
Thank you, Mr Castle...
10:50
The Knights are proud to announce that our beautiful new stadium in the Heart of Tempe will be called ...
Gisolo-Duppa Field
This name pays homage to a pioneer of baseball, Margaret Gisolo, who was the first woman to play American Legion baseball in the early 20th century, and a native of Tempe. It also honors Lord Darrell Duppa, one of the founders of Phoenix and the man who coined the name Tempe, after the vail of Tempi in northern Greece, under the shadow of Mount Olympus.
Lord Duppa’s great-great grandson, Quentin Duppa, has honored the Knights organization by purchasing a minority share in the ownership group led by Chris Van Hauter. Press release forthcoming....
Yuma receives Florida’s 1st and 2nd round draft pick and P Lou Drewery, while Florida receives P George Moss… (edited)
Denny Hills - Palm Springs Codgers 11:16 AM
Yuma:palm_tree: 11:17 AM
In which case you can all begin bidding on Moss pronto.
Mike - Borealis 11:17 AM
The hope of the Board is for the PEBA to one day return to a balanced, 32-team League, by welcoming back into the fold the New Jersey Hitmen and the Gloucester Fishermen. The current plan is to consider the 2035 season, with human GMs taking over in 2034 - but I want to assure you that The Board is aware of concerns of too rapid a growth, and those dates are tentative, as we want to ensure that Manchester, Charleston, Tempe and Nihama are all looking like they are on firm footing and established - so if it’s 2036 or 37, so be it… There is no rush…
Being picked #1 overall put too much pressure on him, he was picked too high
Slow and reluctant, that’s my motto.
Ron - Akira 11:26 AM
He saw alot of good hitters in his day, from his perspective
Yuma:palm_tree: 11:26 AM
But Vinnie rose to the challenge and became the best at doing what we do in Yuma.
Michael - Malts 11:26 AM
Geat idea to take it slow
Greg - Alleghenies 11:27 AM
Vinnie helped a lot of hitters develop.
RJ - Sandgnats 11:27 AM
Dylan - Wind Dancers 11:34 AM
@channel We have made some adjustments to the WIL with the future of that league in mind. The WIL was always meant to be a B-league with significantly less attendance and money involved. But seeing some of these teams sign our scrubs for $15m+ was clearly not what we wanted. Therefore, starting in 2033, the WIL will see less attendance and the average salary will be significantly cut. Along with this, I have gone through and retroactively “fixed” some WIL salaries to better fit the new system as some teams were projected to lose upwards of $30mil for next season alone. The WIL will no longer be swiping PEBA players AWAY from PEBA teams by offering them ridiculous sums when the whole point of this league is to be financially smaller. Once the final two teams leave for the PEBA, the WIL will continue in its current state as an independent league.
Evan - Underground 11:46 AM
Greetings my fellow General Managers, Commissioners of the Board, and hotel waitstaff. It is an honor to be here today representing the storied Underground franchise and an even grander honor to be making my first remarks to the assembled brains of the PEBA after years of membership. I will follow the lead of all prior speakers today and attempt to keep this brief, but, well...we'll see.
I am here today to usher in a new era for baseball not just in London, but in all of Great Britain.” For too long London has suffered under the weight of being a small market team. Financial uncertainty and tight budgets are so prevalent it sometimes feels as though they are in our morning tea. Too many years of mediocre baseball has left us unable to generate the spark needed to break through into the mainstream of British sport. Short of a PEBA Championship run even more miraculous than San Juan’s there is but one way for us to position ourselves for a more sustained level of competition and financial stability.
:raised_hands:
1
11:47
He clicked the slide forward on the large projector screen on the stage. On display was a fully rendered concept of what was clearly a new stadium that the Underground would call home. To the keen viewer it would have some obvious similarities to Wembley Stadium – retractable roof, real grass field, even the general layout of the field was clearly inspired by Wembley’s dimensions while still being uniquely different.
The London Underground have secured financing from the PEBA to build a brand-new ballpark, slated to open in 2034. Dear Wembley means so much to us, but we will never grow the game playing in a multi-use stadium in which we get the lowest priority. Our new facility will be built from the ground up for baseball – and only baseball. It will be a crown jewel among London’s sporting attractions and a true destination ballpark for all PEBA fans.
11:48
The slide advanced again to a field level view from behind home plate. The most intriguing sight was the 18 foot wall in right field. Above the league mandated safety padding the remaining height appeared to be a stone façade and each top corner held a domed turret. For those who knew their British history, there was no doubting what it was meant to pay homage to.
That.. He said, gesturing behind him to that very wall …is our Tower of London. 18 feet tall in honor of the 2018 PEBA Championship. The structure itself harkens back to a time of great English strength and power. Such things will be on the rise again, at least within the Underground. Inside will house a small museum to both British and Underground history, including historical artifacts on loan from the actual Tower of London
We will have much more to discuss in regards to this project in the coming weeks and months, including a decision on the hotly debated name. In the meantime I believe my stroopwafel is getting soggy so I will take my leave. Thank you all!
