YOSHIDA FINED FOR BRIDGE FISHING INCIDENT
Duluth Warriors manager Kinjuro Yoshida gave the franchise and the city of Duluth a huge scare the other day when he was seen on the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge with a long, heavy rope and a tanto sword. The tanto is often used for piercing objects and/or stabbing purposes. Authorities were immediately called to the scene and Yoshida explained he was simply fishing off the bridge. Securing one end of the rope to the tanto handle and dropping the sword, blade first, into the water, Yoshida was able to spear two fish before his day of fishing was ended. He has agreed to pay a small fine for his actions.

All GM’s should watch the video as Duluth authorities have said that visiting baseball individuals are notorious violators of the biking and skateboarding rules on the bridge. Walk your bike across the bridge guys.
The Warriors organization is excited to announce that coverage of the games will be available through a new local media group. Owner Jason “Smokey” Bong purchased radio and television stations and plans to broadcast all home and away games. Fan reaction thus far has ranged from, “What Warriors were ever wearing helmets in Duluth”, “Are those guys still around” and “What kind of music will they play.” Bong has some tweaking to do if he plans to increase local support.
The Bong Media Network will carry the games on their cable station Duluth Minnesota Broadcasting and their announcers were seen arriving in Duluth just today as they braved the cool November temperature of the north: Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne will handle play-by-play and quite probably “off color” commentary.
Radio broadcasts will be carried on Duluth Minnesota Radio and Bong really unearthed a couple gems to handle coverage. Coming down from the Great White North will be Bob and Doug McKenzie and they will be arriving in time for ice fishing season. It was thought that the McKenzie boys would handle tv coverage but the radio booth is actually a little larger and better accommodates the additional beer fridge for their Molson and Coleman gas grill for their back bacon.
Look for your new cable tv station DUMB (Duluth Minnesota Broadcasting) and on your radio tune into DUMR (Duluth Minnesota Radio). No, the radio station does not need to begin with a K or W because Bong purchased an old station that existed before government regulation rules set in and the call letters have been grandfathered in.
One last addition to the broadcasting crew comes from Cincinnati and has just completed an interview at the PEBA Headquarters. We have a partial transcript of the interview with PEBA officials:
Sorry everyone, our on the spot reporter went to the incorrect location, instead of going to PEBA Headquarters, he went to Norfolk, Virginia to the headquarters of PETA. We do have some live coverage from just outside PETA Headquarters as one of Bong’s other radio stations wanted to do a Thanksgiving tribute to PEBA.
We go now to Norfolk and our new on the sport reporter Les Nessman with his Thanksgiving tribute to PEBA outside PETA.
Happy PEBA Thanksgiving everyone. We will see you all at the Winter Meetings where you are sure to get More Baseball and Les Nessman.
