What woulda happened if Morris had won the bat/hand thing?

Or ... is it all rigged?

The IL will have Munoz, Cuevas, Wallace and Cedeno from 1st to 3rd and Daniels, Flores and Rodriguez in the outfield...

Stepping up to the plate for the SL is this years early odds-on favorite for the Royal Raker, Crystal Lakes Clarence Carpenter... He swings as a 2-1 pitch and fouls it off, high towards the third base dugout and grabbed by Cedeno - and that's how this game get's started...

Next up, Toyama DH Lorenzo Gonzalez, who is having an outstanding season, hitting .355 with 14 HRs... Gonzalez, with an 0-2 count sky's one to the left-center gap, where it is easily handled by 'Gin' Daniels for the second out...

Hitting third for the SL is CF Nick Heath, of the resurgent Aurora Borealis... Heath sticks with a 1-2 pitch and laces it into the left-center gap, and it rolls all the way to the wall for a stand-up double... and that will bring up Reno RF 'Bleeder' Rowan...

But Rowan swings at a bad first pitch, low and in, and rolls it to Munoz at first to end the inning...

SL - 0, IL coming up...

Bartolo Esquivel, the big right-hander for Aurora - making the start in place of Crystal lakes Jim MacCowan, will be making the start. He's having a stellar year - 10-3 with a 1.49 ERA... He has Gandarilla at first, Hill at second, his teammate Teddy Loetzsch at short and Webb at third... Carpenter, Heath and Rowan across the outfield...

First up for the IL is Hartford's perennial All-Star, Luis Cedeno - arguably the most complete player in all of the PEBA... but he bothers Esquivel not, as he grounds a 2-2 pitch to Dmitri Hill at second, whose through beats the fleet Cedeno by a couple of steps...

Barry Wallace, the London shortstop, follow's suit, as he grounds a 1-1 pitch to Hill for out number 2...

Kentucky RF Francisco Rodriguez is up 3rd, and he works the count full, then nubs one to third, but Webb pounces on it, with the quick throw to first for the final out of the inning...

After 1, SL - 0, IL -0...

Coming in to pitch for the IL in the second is Hartford starter Orlando 'Nitoryu' Garcia, who will face Gandarilla, Parker and Webb to start things off...

Garcia goes full against 'Gorilla', who muscles a looping liner past the lunging Wallace for a lead-off single...

Parker wastes no time, swinging at the first pitch and hitting a shallow fly ball it center for out number one...

That brings up Christian Webb of Bakersfield. An All-Star with three different teams, Webb pulls a 1-2 pitch down the line for a single, as Daniels hustles to cut it off before it gets to the corner...

Teddy Loetzsch, Aurora's triple hitting shortstop, comes to the plate with runners at 1st & 2nd... and he bounces a 1-ball pitch to second - Cuevas to second - ONE, Wallace on to first - TWO - a double play, which ends the inning...

Heading to the bottom of 2, SL - 0, IL - 0...

Pitching now for the Sovereign League is Shin Seiki star Jorge Castillo, who will face Florida 1B Wilson Munoz to start things off...

Munoz continues the early trend, as he rolls a 2-2 pitch to Hill for the first out...

Walter 'Gin' Daniel is the second hitter of the inning and with a favorable 2-0 count he lines it down the left-field line, with the ball rolling into the corner, and 'Gin' taking second for a 1-out double...

West Virginia CF Pedro Flores makes Castillo work, as he gets a full count, and knocks one hard, past Webb, and into left field - Daniel hustles around 3rd... it looks like a bad decision, Carpenter comes up with the ball and a quick throw home - OUT!! Daniels is nailed by a country mile, with Flores moving to second on the throw...

Vaclav Verlaar, the DH from Hartford comes to the plate, looking to get the IL on the board, but a sharp grounder to third is handled by Webb, and the throw to first is in plenty of time to end the threat...

Off to the third - SL - 0, IL - 0...

The new IL pitcher to start the third inning will be New Orleans' 'Rocky' Medina, and he will face Hill, and the top of the order...

Duluth's Dmitri Hill is having an outstanding season, hitting .320 for the Warriors... but this time he rolls a 2-1 pitch to short for the first out...

And that brings up Clarence Carpenter, who fouled out his first time up... and once again, on a 3-2 pitch, Carpenter gets under a pitch and pops it foul, just wide of third for the second out...

It doesn't take Medina long to dispense with Lorenzo Gonzalez, as on a 1-0 pitch he grounds out to Cuevas at second...

Heading to the bottom of 3, SL - 0, IL - 0...

An Eva pitcher is replacing an Eva pitch, and 'Zoom Zoom' Suitani comes on for the SL to face the rookie Ros, Cuevas and Cedeno...

The rookie looks good, with a 3-1 count, but is fooled by the crafty vet, and lifts a shallow fly to right for the first out...

Cuevas gets into the box and looks like he means business, and he takes a big swing at the first pitch and lifts it deep into right center, but Stuart Rowan drifts over and makes the catch...

It's a PEBA classic match-up: Suitani v. Cedeno, but 'Zooom' blows one past the Hartford man for strike three and the inning is over...

After 3, SL - 0, IL - 0...

'Nails' Yokoyama, currently with the Scottish this season comes on for the top of the fourth to face the heart of the SL line-up...

Nick Heath, with a full-count, dribbles one, between the mound and the plate - Yokoyama hustles, grabs, throws to first - SAFE!! Heath beats it out for a lead-off single...

'Bleeder' Rowan also works a full count against 'Nails' before lining one - HARD - to left, Daniels back, to the wall... AND HE MAKES THE CATCH, up against the fence... Heath, who had rounded second, hustles back to first... One down...

But the IL luck runs out - the 'Gorilla' takes a 2-1 pitch and drills it, Deep into the night, 408 feet over the center field wall for a 2-run homer and the SL are on top, 2-0...

Tony Parker, facing a shift, tries to take a 1-2 pitch in on the hands, the other way, but Cuevas scampers over to the second base side of the bag, scoops the role up and Parker is out number 2...

Webb looks at a 2-2 pitch for strike three... But the SL break the ice...

On to the bottom of the 4th - SL - 2, IL - 0...
