That was great. I judge guys on if they wanted, as a kid, to be on a major league baseball card or not.

Loved this. I've never seen or heard of that card before, which surprises me a little given that I worked in a card shop in the 90's.

Fun story, and for a second I am naive enough to think he actually takes a ball to his balls. I am glad he is still remembered, dude knows how to work the angle, even though his wife is clearly not a big fan of that picture(oh come on, show some support!?).

Thanks for sharing. I never knew how or why that card got printed. The story is far more interesting than the card itself.

the Oakland A's sold me to the Detroit Tigers for $100 and a bag of balls. I had to deliver the balls.
My first chuckle of the morning.
