PANIC MODE EDITION!!!

What is happening in Arlington?! I don't know either, but holy potatoes it's not good. From playoff hopeful to sputtering out mid-season, the 'Crats have been dreadful this past few weeks. Many things have gone wrong. This past week, they hit a dismal .222 overall as a team, only getting 41 hits in 185 at bats, leading to 22 runs. 22 piddly, pathetic, underwhelming runs. They struck out 41 times, and walked 14 times. Does that lead to success? No, no it does not.

And for once, it wasn't the pitching that was at fault. This past week, with the return of Motoyuki Hatsutori, they managed to pitch an ERA of 2.73, with a corresponding WHIP of 1.23. But they've allowed too many hits, 51 in fact, leading to 21 runs while striking out 53 batters and walking 14. Once again the bullpen fell apart, putting up an ERA of 3.38 (the rotation put up 2.38) while allowing 19 hits which became 9 runs. They kept their walks down though, to 3 in fact. But they haven't done enough.

What has been done to rectify this? A lot, actually. Unless you have been living under a rock, you may have noticed the flurry of trades executed this past few weeks. Prospects and Major League talent alike has been brought in to help bolster the roster, and we wait with baited breath to see the results.

Just, please do well.....please.

"Dear Justin" Questions from the Arlington fanbase:

-Do you still see Arlington as a wildcard contender? If so, what strategies will we see from the front office to counteract the cold bats? If not, what steps are in place to strengthen the future of the franchise?

-Does Marvin Hansen have a future in Arlington?

-Can Hatsutori continue to deliver through his 2035 contract?

Sincerely,

Anticipating in Arlington

Arlington is still in wildcard contention, at least I believe. We've been trying to counteract a potential failure these past couple weeks with trades, but this past week has shown that we have some glaring weaknesses. We've already released our pitching coach due to poor performances and have sent out a job offer to another.

Marvin Hansen is here as long as his contract is in Arlington. If his performance improves, so does his time here increase. If not, well, we'll burn that bridge when we get there.

Motoyuki Hatsutori can be expected to consistently deliver until the 2033 season. As for 2034 and 2035, that remains to be seen, but we are optimistic he'll do as well as he has been for at least the next 3 seasons.
