Adieu Monkey Punch

Those who've been round a while may recall the Lupin Cliff Hangers club in the LRS. This seemed noteworthy and relevant:

"Monkey Punch, a Japanese cartoonist who was best known as the creator of the internationally popular Japanese anime and manga crime spoof Lupin III, died April 11 in Sakura, Japan. He was 81. ..."

I saw the news and was greatly saddened by it. Monkey Punch was an icon in the Japanese animation industry. He will be missed.

I got into Lupin The Third a month ago. Sad to hear of the passing.

I was sad to hear about this as well, Lupin was timeless and is still popular today.

I'd say he's earned a statue or some other memorial at the Castle of Cagliostro in Toyama.

I think Toyama should wear Old School Lupin next season!!!
