I love this game Frank. Addicted.Badgers wrote:I haven't actually. I don't really play any social deduction in person other than One Night Ultimate Werewolf with my kids, which is... not terribly fun yet. The folks I game with aren't big social deduction fans. From reading a lot about BotC, it strikes me as a well tuned version of forum mafia suitable for in person games. It takes out one of the big meatspace problems of player elimination, and adds a novel voting mechanism to the wide role variety. I've read through one forum game of BotC, which had a few problems, but I think a tweak or two could make it work. My interest in it is more along those lines.John wrote:Frank, I'm assuming you've played BotC? What are your thoughts on the game?

How will roles be determined? Random assignment or will the host assign them in secret?

Re: Mafia! Evil Unearthed
Why aren't you signing up for this game? I was contemplating actually making this a BotC game instead of Mafia if we don't get a full complement of players. I think BotC might work better for a low player count.Sandgnats wrote:I love this game Frank. Addicted.Badgers wrote:I haven't actually. They will be randomly assigned in secret. I'll send out PM's with your character, role, and team at the start of the game.Bears wrote:How will roles be determined? Random assignment or will the host assign them in secret?

Re: Mafia! Evil Unearthed
Unfortunately, you've had to wait...
Fortunately, that wait is almost over...
Pictures have been taken. I'll be sending out role PM's to our 6 participants tonight or tomorrow. You will be expected to read the rules (they will be slightly different than previous games) and confirm that you're ready to go. Once I get that, Day 1 will go up.
