Hartford's Matt Brown comes in for the IL in the 7th, with the Badgers Kobayashi at the plate... and Yakamochi lifts a soft fly ball to left for the first out...

Aurora's Jose Torres at the plate - and takes a 3-2 fastball high for ball four...

Shin Seiki's German Hernandez pops one down the right field line... Davidson drifts over and makes the catch... two down...

Out comes Kentucky's manager, he signals to the 'pen and out pops San Antonio Calzone of Laredo's Bob Burns to face Royce Raines... and he walks him on four pitches...

Determined not to go down easily, Clarence Carpenter turns on Burns first pitch and drives it deep into the left field bleachers for a 3- run HOME RUN!!! it's 15-7...

Castanieda rolls a ball to short, Cuevas gathers and fires to first to end the inning... But the SL creeps closer...

Heading to B7...
SL - 7
IL - 15

With that... Danny Burton comes to the plate... And he greet's the Zephyr's 3-2 pitch by bouncing it up the middle for a lead-off single...

Rob Davidson Lines one deep... up against the wall, but Martinez hauls it in...

And out pops the Evas manager, and he signals for Yuma's Jonathan Francis to enter the game...

Francis to face Murdoch... On a 1-1 pitch, Burton takes off and steals second!!! And the SL are all off the bench and howling at the 'Hitman' from the dugout fence... Francis responds by walking Murdoch...

Hudson, whose had a big day, chops one to third, Kobayashi has to come in to field it for the out, but the runners move up... two-down...

Francis gets Cedeno to pop up to Carpenter in center to end the inning...

After 7...
SL - 7
IL - 15

Calzones Bob Burns takes the mound in the top of the 8th to face Tomas Martinez... and Martinez slaps one past the third basemen for a leadoff single...

Gustavo Lopez lifts a lazy fly to left for the first out... and with that, the manager is signaling to the mound before he even steps out... The Claymore's 'Pappy' Fisher comes in to pitch to Choe...

Fisher strikes out Choe swinging on a 2-2 pitch... Bringing up Kobayashi... but wait - it'll be Duluth's Eric Jacobs...

But Jacobs lifts one to right, Davidson catching it standing in his spot...

Heading to the B8...
SL - 7
IL - 15

Coming on for the SL in the bottom of the 8th is long-time Wind Dancer, nee Lupin, Shinobu Takeuchi... facing Hinojosa... and he gets Alfredo on a fly ball to medium right-center...

Cuevas grounds a ball back to Shinobu...

Out comes both managers - the Evas manager goes to the mound and calls for Palm Springs Hector Gallo... and Kentucky's manager brings in 'Ogre' Mateo to hit for Lujan...

Gallo walks Mateo on a 3-1 pitch... and coming out of the dugout is Featherhead Dave Crocker... to hit for Jones...

Crocker lines a 1-0 pitch hard - but right at Jacobs for the third out... 3-outs left for the SL...

Heading to the 9th...
SL - 7
IL - 15

As the 9th begins, Alfredo 'R' Aranda of Kentucky comes on to pitch and he'll face Aurora's Jose Torres...

Torres loops the first pitch to center... Hinojosa with the running catch...

With just a flash of a hand from the dugout, Havana's 'Puddi' Perez races in for what are no doubt the final two outs...

'Puddi' walks German Hernandez on a 3-1 pitch, bringing up Royce Raines...

And on a 3-2 pitch, Perez walks Raines...

The last portion player on either bench, Jerry Rutledge comes in to hit for Carpenter - a Shisa for a Shisa... Rutledge works the count full, but swings and misses for the second our - leaving it up to Castanieda to keep the game alive...

But he swings and misses at a 1-2 pitch - AND THE BALL GAME IS OVER...

The IL takes this one, by the score of 15-7!!

What a game. That was outstanding, Michael. You missed your calling - you should go into play-by-play announcing.

Doing the A.S. Game in the forum like that is a great tradition.

The final totals:

The IL 15 runs on 18 hits and 2 errors...
The SL 7 runs on 10 hits and 3 errors...

The win goes to Hartford's Mike Brown (god knows why), the lose to Bakersfield's Neil Maes.

Home Runs by Mike Britt (2nd) and Carpenter (7th) for the SL and the IL's two catchers, Hansen (3rd) and Hudson (5th).

Time of the game, 4:06...

The MVP of the game goes to... Florida's catcher, Jack Hudson, who was 2-3, with 2 R, 3 RBI and a homer...

The 15 runs by the IL are an All-Star record, and alone pass the total for an All-Star game, set back in 2007 - the very first PEBA All-Star Game, won by the SL, 10-3 in Trenton, New Jersey...

Thanks Guys!!

That was fun - lengthy - almost like a real game, but I hope it was worth it!

I'm going to go grab some dinner, then I'll finish the sim and get it posted... to tease you and keep you hanging, there was a WHOLE bevy of International guys who signed...

I'll post as always when I get the file up - figure maybe an hour (sorry to my east coast friends... ;-D )
