Come one, Come all - bring a beer, hot dog and those non-allergenic peanuts the scientists came up with back in 2022!

All-Star voting is still live, so get out and vote - note you can change your vote if you voted early and feel a need to re-evaluate ~~cough-cough~~Jose~cough-cough~Torres~~cough-cough~~ your vote!!

The cut-off time for the vote will be 8pm PT/11pm ET Sunday night (March 3), with the All-Star rosters possibly posted later that evening...

Awesome. thanks Mike.

I'm still lobbying for Steve Hott. He's dropped his ERA to 5.4 through the month of June and deserves recognition on behalf of the whole Bears' staff that all can't be All-Stars.

The 2028 PEBA All-Star Game is hosted by the New Orleans Trendsetters at beautiful New Frontier Park on the shores of the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana. This iconic setting, with is tall right-field wall, set against the river, could provide us with a high-scoring match-up between the stars of the Sovereign League and the Imperial League!

Lovely ballpark, but wait. That's not New Orleans! There's no mountains visible from New Orleans. No hills either. And look at the Mississippi, it's BELOW the ballpark. But in downtown New Orleans, the river is ABOVE the land, held back (usually) by dikes. No dikes here.

I don't think anyone in Louisiana would recognize this park. Send a photographer down south to get some local photos.

Sovereign League Manager, Paul Woods of the Shin Seiki Evas has announced his line-up for tonights game:

CF Jerry Long, Shin Seiki Evas
LF Don ‘Jasper’ Mercer, Duluth Warriors
RF Paul Carlisle, Aurora Borealis
1B Alex ‘Red Hook’ Bothwell, Okinawa Shisa
3B Mike 'Big Whiskey' Britt, Aurora Borealis
2B Harley Schneider, Shin Seiki Evas
DH Rob Raines, Fargo Dinosaurs
C Tony Parker, Crystal Lake Sandgnats
SS Brian Coleman, Neo-Tokyo Akira

Tonights Starting pitcher will be Neil Maes of the Bakersfield Bears

This will be Jerry Long's 4th All-Star Appearance, also appearing in '27, '25 and '24. Long was the 2025 Royal Raker recipient. Harley Schneider will also be making his second All-Star appearance in a row.
Mike 'Big Whiskey' Britt will be making his 5th All-Star game - his first going all the way back to 2018, with stops in 2020, '22 and '23 - the year he won the Royal Raker. Paul Carlisle is now a 3-time All-Star ('25 and '23) and has already racked up 3-PoW and a PoM award this season.
Don 'Jasper' Mercer is one of the most decorated players in tonights game - now an 8-time All-Star, 2018 Wunderkind Award winner and 2021 Royal Raker Award winner (both while with West Virgina), this will be his second straight All-Star appearance for Duluth.
Alex 'Red Hook' Bothwell will be appearing in his 5th consecutive All-Star game and he was the 2026 Royal Raker. Tony Parker will be making his 3rd straight All-Star appearance. Tonights game will be Brian Coleman's first All-Star appearance. Neil Maes, off to the best season of his career, is making his 4th appearance.
Last, but certainly not least, the most decorated player in tonights game, is Fargo DH Rob Raines, making his 11th All-Star Game. He is a 3-time Royal Raker winner - way, way back in 2013, '14 and '15 while with Arlington.

Also of note, Aurora SP John Turner, after 7-seasons with the Trendsetters, will be making his first All-Star appearance, at his old home. We are told that Turner is slated to take the mound after Maes.

Very excited to have 5 featherheads make the team -- especially crocker who was signed on a bargain bin 1 year contract the day the regular season began. Granted he got in due to an injury but still... we'll take it.

Don't you remember Bob, way back in 2024 they used all the state's landfill rubbish to build up the land at the edge of the Mississippi so they wouldn't need dykes  and plonked New Frontier Park on top of it. The Mountains are not really mountains, just more landfill rubbish tips as America's packaging waste spirals out of control in the 2020's

How'd I forget that? Oh, 2024, you say? Must have been during my electroshock therapy sessions. Massive memory erasure. That explains it, thanks.

But the landfill disguised as tree-covered hills? That's disgusting! More electroshock, please!

While you await game time, sit back, have a few Hurricanes and when you can no longer stand, go grab some beignets at Cafe du Monde!! Just know that on Bourbon Street, the liquor portions in that recipe are doubled...

If there is a slice of heaven on earth, Cafe du Monde absolutely qualifies. Beignets and chicory coffee ...
