News For June 12th to June 18th
Hot Streak!!!
In what can only be described as pleasantly surprising, even by its progenitor, the Bureaucrats are currently riding a 7 game win streak, and how have a record above .500 for the first time this season, 36-35, good enough for 2nd place and are currently in position for a Wildcard Spot. It seems the whirlwind of trades made those few weeks ago are beginning to pay off, as they were heavy contributors to the victories.
Pitching Dominance
Arlington starting pitchers went 4-0 in this 7 game span. Notable example are those like Darren Jackson, who continues to lower his ERA, (from 2.30 to 1.94), newly acquired Roberto Comacho, who won both his starts this week, and Motoyuki Hatsutori, who only allowed 4 ER in 16 IP.
Flaming Bats
Bureaucrat offense shined bright this stretch, averaging a .243 batting average in this stretch. The offense powered through for 3 Home Runs, 10 Doubles, 1 Triple, and 29 RBI. This is an excellent offensive showcase, and we look forward to more.
Front Office Calm-Down?
This performance has brought rumblings that the front office may have relaxed their stance on the future of Arlington Baseball. "This performance shows that the boys can perform in the clutch, when they need to. If they keep this up, then maybe a rebuild is not on the horizon this season." Fans are pleased to hear this.
This week has brought great happiness to the fans, and we look forward to the rest of June!
