Trade between Aurora and Toyama

The following trade has been completed between the Aurora Borealis and the Toyama Wind Dancers
Aurora receives:
RF Howard Joyce
SP Henry Cluett (A)
SP Pedro Morales (SA)
Toyama receives:
LF Roberto 'Fudd' Martinez (AAA)
LF Lawrence Justice (AAA)
Thanks Dylan for the reasonably painless discussions.
This was a difficult trade for us. You always want your top picks to come in and dominate - but 'Fudd' just never had the look and feel like he would. When Dylan approached me, and offered up a couple of young, high potential pitching prospects, it felt like time. Aurora has had trouble with moving strong starters out of the farm system, but Cluett and Morales move into a chain of Imhoff, Solis, and Torres as hopeful, futures starters.
That chain becomes even more important when looking at Aurora's current pitching rotation where, potentially, Provost, 'Tugboat', Nieves and Rivera all could be gone - between team-options and a vesting, at season's end... That's a lot of potential salary freed up, but that also puts a premium on having a future plan for 2-3 years down the line.
Joyce and Justice become more balancing pawns - not too dissimilar, though Joyce is younger, has 2 options, and may be the better hitter over time. Justice has performed well during his stints at Aurora, but being a corner OF, his chances have been limited by the presence of Pope and Carlisle... Joyce may not be happy heading to Thornton, but that's his home for now... and with Pope and Carlisle both entering their mid-30's, his time in AAA may be short...
