Draft List Question
Is there a "how to" guide anywhere for how to build a draft list in stats lab? I tried to start one in the team war room section under the draft section, but it won't let me add any more than 3 players. That'll be a short draft ...
I assume I'm screwing up somehow, so any help would be welcome.
Thanks!

Re: Draft List Question
I just checked and was able to add more than 3, so I'm not sure what the issue may have been... You do have to save after every addition or change, for that to stick, so maybe that's the issue?

Hmm. I saved, the little number showed up next to their name in the list, but it still won't let me add more than 3.

OK, I seem to be bludgeoning it into submission -- works about every second or third save.
Maybe it just doesn't like my picks ...

Re: Draft List Question
Note that if you sort the player listing by clicking on the column headers, that can break the Add to List button in most browsers. The best way to create your list is to create a csv/text file with a player ID on each line and import it.

Re: Draft List Question
What Frank said. Sometimes sorting columns screw up with the list. Either do it on a CSV and import or open the list in 2 tabs. Make changes in 1 and sort in the other.Badgers wrote:Note that if you sort the player listing by clicking on the column headers, that can break the Add to List button in most browsers. Re: Draft List Question
I create my entire list in stats lab through multiple screens. It's a real nightmare. I cant figure out how to do it outside of stats lab it seems like an extra layer of confusion.
Edit: it's not ACTUALLY a nightmare, it's actually really cool but I have a nagging suspicion I'm not doing it in the most efficient method.

Re: Draft List Question
It look me a few hours but I finally figured out how to merge the game and statlab lists via player number.

Re: Draft List Question
This year, with the work Dylan has done, it looks like they should merge almost seamlessly - aside from the multiple guys with the same name that StatsLab and OOTP can't seem to agree on what constitute alphabetical...Sandgnats wrote:It look me a few hours but I finally figured out how to merge the game and statlab lists via player number.

Re: Draft List Question
Quick announcement regarding draft lists.
If you have a draft list in StatsLab, please export it to CSV or another external file. As of last sim, the draft pool in-game has lost a few players, likely players deciding not to enter the draft or something. But this means I will need to re-update the StatsLab pool which may delete any draft lists you have made.
It looks like this hasn't affected any of the top talent, but I still want to make sure both draft pools match. Once I confirm with Mike how many players are now missing, I will fix them.

Re: Draft List Question
I doubt any top players will be left Dylan with Hartford’s first pick at #56 overall lol. I don’t think I’ll even look at making a list until the first round is over

Re: Draft List Question
Good news, I updated the draft pool in StatsLab and it didn't delete existing lists. There are now six fewer players in the pool, one of which we know failed to get drafted last season and was a FA. He was going to re-enter the draft but signed a minor league deal with Kalamazoo instead, which explained why he was pulled off. This may have been the case with the other 5 as well.
Regardless, the draft is still on track.
