Well it's been quiet on the Free Agency front, at least.

I would love to get a few pieces in free agency but the asking prices are outrageous. Reno cannot afford $315,000,000 for one player.

Agreed, Toyama is in the market for 1 or 2 cheap guys on a single-season deal just to fill in. I actually have a deal in for an ex-Wind Dancer that I'm hoping will sign next sim for 2028.

There isn't much good news coming out of Toyama, but this past sim, we managed to tie down Ivan Juarez on a 5-year deal. His current contract expires at the end of this season and he's been a lone bright spot in recent seasons. And thanks to his humble personality, he doesn't mind playing for a 60 win team.

Free agency is pretty tedious for the first few sims. Contract demands are absurd and they don't drop for a while, so nothing happens for a while.

Things should pick up later this week at the WM.

It's kind of like that.

I'd be very surprised if things just dropped dead after all of the recent activity.

But we are about a week behind with no communication about what is going on.

This can't make recruiting and retaining players easier.

This is indicative of what it must be like to work in the San Juan ticket office
