Injury settings going forward...

I understand the drive to make things a little harder to predict, but I think we would all agree that this injuries in 2026 were far higher than expected. Whatever setting was used in 2026 was wildly out of whack.

Can we definitely state that whatever injury setting was changed for 2026 will be reverted to where it was before that?

I don't believe the setting itself was changed, rather 18 changed the way injuries are approached. I think Morris mentioned injury settings have always been on low and that wasn't changed for 18.

In this version, while I love way day-to-day injuries are handled, major injuries clearly took a big jump likely due to workload becoming a larger factor. I personally wouldn't mind injuries being knocked down 1 more level to compensate for the changes in 18, though I'd like to hear others opinions.

I tend to agree here, but I will add that, although I like the day to day thing, I felt that, too, was out of control - as someone who watches every replay - and a lot of actual baseball...

Even the day-to-day stuff is rough because we sim a week at a time.

There is zero ability to react like you can when playing single player.

I also agree with all of the above. We have quite a few older players in the league and I worry about prematurely ending their careers. The injuries do add up in the game settings and expedite the decline and or retirement.

When a player is day to day for 2 -3 weeks like I saw a few times it really hurts your team. If you put him in you risk a major injury wheres if you hold him out for the full two weeks you could lose a lot more games. I would like to see the day to days gone and the injury setting a little lower. I know newer version tend to hit us with the injury stick hard but this season we had way too many injuries.

I think there are a couple of things we can do to help teams deal with injuries.

One, we can adjust injury frequency in the game.

Two, we can increase the size of active rosters to 26 to make early sim injuries less damaging to teams.

I love both of those ideas.

Not a bad idea...
