Ah... I’m sorry I misunderstood... that is indeed handy, in case of an injury...

If it goes to game 7.... a one game sim could be quite nerve-racking!

Well, no injuries :bang:  .... on to Duluth

The box scores tell a story that I did not script, with game 1 having a 3 inning save and a 24 minute rain delay, and then game number 2 had huge dramatic situation on the field in the 8th ... every game is nerve racking since there is no room for mistakes.

I was looking at some league stats from this year the the 56 saves from Kentucky's Alfredo Aranda is amazing even if it is .875 save percentage. He got the save in game two of PEBA. 2 strike outs. 4 of 5 in the playoffs and the one he blew... still got the win. You can punch me in the face if I have jinxed you.

RJ ... we have noticed a little softness in Aranda this season, but we think it is a lot to do with the workload, plus maybe a lil age creep. Maybe the new manager and Aranda haven't quite clicked yet??? But Ya, he has been a complete anchor for the pen this post season with K's off the chart.

Anyone know what the all-time saves record is???

I believe it's 389 - I think Bryant Burris came 6 short of the mark, and he had 383...

We need to look up the record in one year. He might have it. Those close games wins... love it!

That actually IS the PEBA record for saves in a season:

1. Aranda - 56 (2026)
2. Raul Cruz - 55 (2023)
3. Burris - 54 (2019)
4. Larry Taylor - 53 (2024)
5. Cary Bond - 52 (2017)
6. G. Malatestiano - 50 (2009)

There's 5 with 49...

Aranda is 6th All-Time, 14 behind Ratzlaff, 24 behind Ben Thomas and 33 behind Cary Bond and 3rd place.
