Not so neat is the amount the former WIL players are asking for. They're certainly looking for a pay day, let's hope they drop their demands soon.

And with the start of spring training comes the first set of
Preseason Predictions!
Some highlights of StatsLab's first take on the season:
- three teams with 110+ losses (Amsterdam, Yuma, London)
- two teams with 106+ wins (West Virginia, Aurora)
- increased parity in the Dixie as the have's are predicted to get weaker (Florida -8 W, Kentucky -7 W) and the have not's are projected to get stronger (San Antonio +15 W, New Orleans + 9 W)

Love those preseason-postseason predictions - I guess the Evil Evas lost a tie breaker somewhere and didn't make the playoffs??
And, our key departure of 'Massacre', who was in Aurora all of the first week of 2025 - I guess StatsLab never got that memo...

Unfortunately I can't see the preseason predictions
until Morris gets his finger out lol and gives me a statslab log-in

The Trendsetters now have two
'Big Shots':
On March 1st, we kept adding to the team by signing former Manchester Maulers pitcher
Gabriel GutiƩrrez to a 4-year contract (3 years + a player option).
Looking forward to the start of spring ball!

A 3-4 start to Spring Training. Not terrible, I suppose.
Like Mark said in the 2025 thread, it seems as though pitchers are already injuring themselves. My pitcher Luis Garcia will miss 2 months of action after 1.1 IP...
Otherwise, the sample size is still too small to analyze much yet.

Injury bug had already hit several teams. 4 to 5 pitchers just this sim.
Posted in wrong thread,
Yeah I lost a low tier pitcher already for the season out 12-13 months

Other interesting happenings, Ky new Manager decided to not pitch the #4 starter (Camacho), moving up #5 (Elliott) and subbing in emergency starter (Patino) as #5. No reason I can find.

I was lucky that my pitcher was only down for a week. Kobyashi introduces himself to K-Zoo with a first AB homer ... but then fails to hit anything else in week one.

Good news for the Longshoremen:
- A PEBA best 6-1 start.
- A 7-man starting rotation that has been mostly lights out, with 4 of the 7 being unscored upon.
Bad news for the Longshoremen:
- Face-of-the-franchise closer Julian Olivares goes down with a partially torn UCL.
- SS Chris Long strains an oblique and is out for 4 weeks. It's no big surprise; that's his 5th injury since signing with the Longshoremen before last season.

Great to see Chris still playing, he was a favourite of mine in London. Shame he's becoming injury prone now. The number of ex-London players I can sign is shrinking by the year

Lost our freshly signed new closer for the season already. Well spent $7M - guess he won't be hitting that vesting option. Still pissed at myself about the Lujan thing too... my enjoyment of being GM is now at an all-time low after having flat out lit $12.2M on fire in the past 2 sims. Will try to rebound soon

Yes, the first sim has been hard hitting.

Yeah frustrating when I hate spending that much on a reliever but I justified it with extreme consistency over a 10 year career, virtually no injury history and only 32. I hope they F up the surgery and he never pitches again.
