Which is the only GM to lead his team as part of three different leagues?

Dan Vail

He has been the GM of the Niihama-shi Ghosts...
- while in the LRS, in 2010
- while in the WIL, in 2031
- currently in PEBA, since 2032
I did it! I'm a record holder! Now if we could only win something...

These notes are amazing, Reg! I never would have guessed that I hold the all-time winning % record for a GM. I imagine that record would be considerably more in doubt had I remained an active GM for a few more seasons.

Meanwhile, this is Kevin Vail's world, and we're all just living in it. Wow, 25 for 25 in postseason qualifications?? That is monstrously impressive, and it speaks to a GM that is both extremely capable and extremely committed. Super impressed with that achievement.

The "2000-win club" reads like a who's-who of PEBA/LRS All-Stars. Congratulations to everyone who's made it, and everyone else who's on their way.

And last but not least ... it's going to turn around for Yuma, Bob, and it's going to feel so sweet when it does. I am not kidding when I say that the Great Yuma Surge is the #1 thing I look for every season. You all sleep on Yuma at your peril!

I’m about a year in Tempe away from falling below .500 :-o

Also, awesome work, Reg! This is a great reference guide. So cool to see this info in one spreadsheet. Thank you ;-D

I am glad someone is keeping track of that stuff. Thank you for taking that on, Reg.

On the LRS stuff - we might be able to find some more of that on the forums - maybe the trade block?

One thing that would be interesting to look at is the whole incident with he who must not be named and the multiple teams. A breakdown of those trades would be great story fodder.

Definitely the dark days of PEBA. I remember thinking the league would not survive that scandal. To see where we are now as a league is a testament to the leadership we have in place. Don't take these guys for granted.

The LRS itself didn't survive. I was definitely afraid it was going to take down the whole pebaverse. I only bring it up because we are far enough past it and strong enough that we might be able to withstand the analysis.

Here is an interesting one to add to the "Book of Interesting PEBA Facts" that I noticed today :

How many PEBA teams have spent the majority (50%+) of it's history run by a non-American GM?

Two ... in the same division.

San Antonio
- They have had an American GM for 13 seasons: Matt Higgins and Nick Bambini.
- They have had a European GM for 14 seasons: Simon Kuliszewski (Poland), Marco Cesare (Italy), Neil Thomas (UK), and currently Nigel Laverick (UK)

New Orleans
- They have had an American GM for 14 seasons: Paul Tanner
- They have had a Canadian GM for 15 seasons: Reg LeBlanc

Hmm... this is an interesting fact, but also is prone to the definition.
Reg has clearly taken non-American to mean one who does not live in the United States. FWIW, I live permanently in the US, but am not a US citizen.

Ah, yes, the ambiguities! I am a citizen of the US (by birth, not choice) but unlike Frank I live temporarily in the States.
