Thanks for the deal, i think its a good one for both teams. Shoemaker just won Sandgnat's hitter of the year award and we like his talent and Brown would probably be blocked by others in SA. We also have Jack Speed at 2B, but he can play 3B as well, or he will be available later, since in SA we prefer right handed batters (for obvious reasons).
the 2 pitchers should become useful for us as well, and immediately. And Lopez looks like pretty good prospect as well

We also needed a 3B of the future which this helps us with. Shoemaker was blocked by 2B Jim Klein and deserves to go some place to start now. Memde provides us a replacement for Munoz at 1B until a prospect that I have in mind is ready to move up next year.

Martinez and Carmona just didn't have a place right now and want to be at the PEBA level. They were very angry being at our AAA club.
