Indeed Yamato made a splash signing Luna and Rin. Not that I'm terribly impressed with their moves. Take a look at their
Player Salaries report. Those two pitchers are taking up
75% of the team's total payroll, and with the Luna signing Yamato has maxed out their budget (no more cash to allow them to deficit spend). So while you've got to figure they'll be have a great 1-2 punch in the rotation, with only one hitter making over $1M we'll just see how quickly the Battleships sink.
Regarding LRS teams overall, only 4 PEBA players of any note (and only 2 players that could possibly be called "stars") have made the trip East. And this is just season one; as play progresses, the intelligent (?) human owners of PEBA will begin to distance themselves financially from the imbecilic AI GMs of the LRS. You need only look at Yamato's mismanagement to see an example of this - they won't be stealing significant PEBA players for a
looooong time to come. So while I'm sorry to see "Dog" Verdon and "Evil Ways" Luna part company with us, I'm positive that this trend will not only slow but actually reverse itself in short order.
