Yes. Reached the .500 mark with a .239 team batting average. There has to be a hitter someone can trade me that won't turn into Richard Kelly.

Short A Begins and the Oceanic opened with a very nice 4-1 win. Jesus Solis, Aurora's Supplemental pick threw 7.1 innings allowing 4 hits, with 6 K and a pair of walks... 8th rounder 2B Neville de Deugd was 2-4 with a pair of runs... Neat!!

5 year college man LF Eric Davidson, free agent signing out of Louisville (4 years) and Southern Miss (1 year), hit a grand slam in his first professional game for the SA Mauna Loa Vulcans.

Yogi Robles is still 2 wins away from 200! Common Yogi! :catcher:

The season for the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons begins with a forgettable loss to Lana'i City with a score of 13-1.

3rd round pick Daichi Chishu struggled early giving up 5 earned over 2.1 innings. 2nd rounder David 'Hands' Trujillo opened his career with a bang, hitting a solo shot on his first at-bat in the 2nd inning.

In the bigs, Francois Gosselin finished off a sweep of the Bakersfield Bears with a shutout.

For a change, the Ky system has only 6 on the DL ... but of course it's not August yet which is when the Thoroughbreds seem to start taking extended vacations.

Carl Ball allowed 6 in 1.2 innings in his professional debut. Bakersfield also fired their scouting director.

So Congrats to Ernesto...
Martínez Wins United States Collegiate Baseball Association Pitching Crown: The United States Collegiate Baseball Association Outstanding Pitcher Award winner has been chosen and the trophy goes to Washington hurler Ernesto Martínez for his outstanding season in 2026.

Martínez was quite impressive with a 8-1 record and a 1.61 ERA. In 15 starts and 84 innings, he struck out 127 and gave up 48 hits and 7 walks. Teams hit .161 against him.
BUT... you know something is wrong when you see this message...
Dominant Year Wins Martínez USCBA COL Outstanding Hitter Award: For fans of the Washington Montlake Malamutes, there was certainly no doubting the value of Ernesto Martínez this season.

Now the 19-year-old pitcher has an award to show just how valuable he was, as he's been named the 2026 United States Collegiate Baseball Association Outstanding Hitter Award winner.

His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 8-1 record. In 15 starts he piled up 84 innings, had 127 strikeouts with 7 walks and a 1.61 ERA. Martínez held opposing hitters to a .161 batting average and compiled a 4.2 WAR.
Oh... Ernesto had zero ABs on the season...

I have one of these guys as well .... it is odd, but it is OOTP

Half advertising, why not mention his 7 innings 1 run ;-)?

I just noticed that Reno has the top rated minor league system. I hope we can turn that into PEBA wins in the near future!

You're very critical of me lately. Maybe I didn't mention it because it was in a different sim and I just saw it when I downloaded a separate file.

What's my team going to do next sim? If you have that info in advance I'll see what I can do to tweak the results in my favor. Thanks ;-D

Well, I'd hate to jinx it, so I'll just stay mum...

I'm only looking for player specific stats. I know we're going to only win 1 at most but I'd like to keep individual player morale up by skipping exceptionally bad performances.

(Unfortunately, I do have to stick to a 9 player batting order, so options are limited...)

Claymore Cuts:

And a 3-4 week went better than the numbers indicate, taking 3 of 4 from San Juan before New Orleans took revenge on us taking 2 of 3 at their home by sweeping us at ours. Sixto Duenas seems to have remembered how to hit the ball, which is a drastic change for him so far this season, hopefully, he will get hot and have a much better second half. LF Pedro Valdes continues to put in work and has been the teams most consistent run producer.

Pitching has had it pretty rough although Hector Gallo shines as the closer, and Terry Dumont, Jonah Martin, and Chad Stewart all had great starts last week.
