I told my wife this morning that my days in hot and trending are over.
I hope she always thinks you're hot and trending...

The email arrived just after midnight: my novel had been turned down by Kindle Press. Aw :,-( I appreciate all of you who took the time to nominate it, and appreciate everyone putting up with my shameless pestering for support!

I was fully expecting this as Kindle Scout clearly goes for novelists with a track record, and my book was both too long (140K) and niche (steampunk/baseball). Rejection comes with the territory.

It was a great experience, though, and I learned a lot about internet marketing. I'll keep you posted about my future plans for the book. Again, thanks!

So.... onward!

Sorry to hear that, Mike... That's the gig, though. I think I've acquired over 1,000 rejections of various projects now.

Cheery thought, eh?

Sounds like you've put the experience in proper perspective.

I look forward to reading this however it is published.
