Leonard Nimoy, RIP
He lived long and prospered.
I'm old enough that I actually watched the original series in its first run. I was 7-9 years old at the time. I remember being sad when NBC canceled it.
Spock was the outsider, and to kids like me who felt like outsiders, he was a revelation. Other shows had outsider characters, and they were invariably there for comic relief. Not Spock. He was so f---ing cool.

Nicely said.
In addition to the obvious Star Trek, the other thing I remember of him from my youth was his narration of an unsolved-mysteries type show called In Search Of.
Rest in peace Mr N.

A sad day indeed. Let's hope one day we find a real Spock

Re: Leonard Nimoy, RIP
This article on Nimoy and the ST movies is, as Spock would say, fascinating.
