Newsletter interest?

#1 Post by roncollins »

Hiya ... no pressure here at all, but I'm in process of updating my writing newsletter lists. If you have any interest in getting roughly quarterly updates on my writing life, PM me your email and I'll add you.

I will sign up as well. Not really a sci-fi guy which I understand is your primary area of writing, but I loved the PEBA book (and have been meaning to write a review here so all people in the league will read it) ... And, got to support fellow PEBA-ers! PEBA-ites?

I feel the same way. I'm always going to go to bat for PEBA Nation. (That seems to flow better, doesn't it?) Any of our GMs who has a serious endeavor they're undertaking, I'm ready to support. It helps that I am a huge sci-fi fan and already know that I like Ron's work, of course. :)

Thanks all. :)

I know that not all of my work will be to everyone's tastes, but hopefully some of it will be!

In PEBApublishing-related news, I'm planning to get See the PEBA available in paper sometime soon, and will (hopefully) have Chasing the Setting Sun cleaned up and out there in e-book/p-book form no later than what would have been world series time if the MLB was still actually around. :)

I expect I'll also be releasing a series of fantasy stories sometime soon, too--a little diversion from pure SF stuff, anyway.

I'll end my night by noting that I learned through Ron's newsletter about Brigid Collins's sequel to Singer (which I purchased and read last year) is out. It's titled The Southern Dragon and available now in a variety of formats. You'll probably want to start with Singer, and I recommend that you take the time to check that book out. (This is when it would be handy to still be updating my book review thread.)

Thanks, again, John. Brigid is really quite good, and already getting better with each book. If you do ever decide to write up a review, you can help her out a lot (or any writer, for that matter) by dropping the review up on Amazon.

Absolutely. I know how important Amazon sales are to authors. I will do just that.

Did someone say Sci-fi???? Sign me up! danieljdiemer@gmail.com

Now that I'm in shift work, I've got loads of time to read things. Just last week I re-installed X3: Reunion and it already had me hungering for some new sci-fi books to read.

Will sign you up. :)

Here's where you can find all my work. It's mostly short stories for now, though See the PEBA is there and it's a slight fantasy. :) Note that you can now buy "See the PEBA" direct on my site through the "Add to Cart" button, as well as through Amazon and other distributors.

I recommend "Picasso's Cat" for SF readers just because it currently includes all the other short stories you can get individually, hence it's a better deal for the reader overall. My collab of Indy 500 stories with John Bodin is available, also, of course. You should enjoy them if you enjoy racing and other (mostly) pulpy strangeness.

Thanks Ron, very happy to see kindle format.

I'm also glad to see that you are a mechanical engineer. I think I will find your fiction most enjoyable.

Hope you like it. Whatever you think, feel free to drop a review on Amazon. :)

I should have mentioned that John B. and I are running a .99 coupon at Smashwords this month for "Four Days in May." You can get the .mobi file there for the Kindle, though you have to load it yourself.
Reminder! August #IndyCar $.99 deal on "Four Days in May" at http://tinyurl.com/m964jom (use coupon kz45d)
Now back to finishing the rewrite of "Chasing the Setting Sun"!
