Niihama-shi and Statesmen Trade

#1 Post by richard_v »

Niihama-shi Receives:

LF Brandon Meade
P Roger Keller
C Giovanny Zimolo A

Charleston Receives:
LF Ryozo Takeuchi

Traded a little more than I wanted for a power hitter, But I needed it.

Thanks Brian

The LRS' top power hitter has played his last game in the league.

Did a lot to begin solidifying the roster come the 2021 merger.

A shame too, I was looking forward to seeing Takeuchi play, but I couldn't pass this deal up.

Thanks Mark, I hope he works out for you.

Very interesting. Takeuchi is a star's star, but he's due to get seriously paid soon. Three good young players in return is probably a good thing overall...but fans are going to have to be a bit depressed. :)

Big name LRS star coming to PEBA! Statesmen scored the 2nd fewest runs in the IL last year, so this should help quite a bit.

Yeah I needed a power hitter badly, and with so Many OF talent is was easy to let Meade go. Meade will be a star no doubt. But proven power is what was needed.
