Trade Between Kure and Hyakujuu
Trade Between Kure and Hyakujuu
Kure Receives:
KUW 3rd Round Pick
Hyakujuu Receives:
SP Sadayoshi 'Yoshi' Yamamoto
This now give me 8 picks in the first three rounds, this draft class will be the future of Kure.
Changed it a little bit, another move, with players will go down during the offseason.
EDIT: Changed the $900K to Yamamoto, that's what he was going to use the cash for anyway.

Picks and cash can move freely, players have to pass through waivers, just like MLB.Ghosts wrote:No trading until season is over guys.

I never knew this. And I thought we did not allow post-deadline waiver trades.Shinkansen wrote:Picks and cash can move freely, players have to pass through waivers, just like MLB.Ghosts wrote:No trading until season is over guys.

This is not true to the best of my knowledge.Shinkansen wrote:Picks and cash can move freely, players have to pass through waivers, just like MLB.Ghosts wrote:No trading until season is over guys.
Our rules are not identical to MLB. We also don't allow waiver deals past the deadline like MLB does.

I know when he asked to trade with me he said had asked Matt first because I was under the assumption all trades were off til end of season

I don't have a problem if we want to open up deals that don't involve players after the trading deadline. But that option would be a new one.Steel Dragons wrote:I know when he asked to trade with me he said had asked Matt first because I was under the assumption all trades were off til end of season
Personally, I'm OK with it either way, but I think we need a clarification from the Matt and the Board.

We actually do allow waiver deals - most people just don't use them. Most likely because they have to clear waivers and there is no guarantee that it will happen (and most of us are very adverse to risk). The only difference in trading rules comes from where we take a hiatus during the playoffs. Not sure on cash and picks as I don't think the situation has really ever come up. I could be wrong or missed something throughout the years, but the constitution doesn't clarify, nor does it specifically disallow...so that might be a good place to update the constitution.

Kevin was referring to the LRS only when he said no waiver trades. My recollection is that they are allowed in PEBA but not the LRS.Trendsetters wrote:Evas wrote:This is not true to the best of my knowledge.Shinkansen wrote: Picks and cash can move freely, players have to pass through waivers, just like MLB.

Re: Trade Between Kure and Hyakujuu
I guess my point was that if there is a moratorium on waiver deals it ought to be spelled out in the constitution...rather than based on our recollections....

Absolutely. I think this is an opportunity to clarify things a bit.Trendsetters wrote:I guess my point was that if there is a moratorium on waiver deals it ought to be spelled out in the constitution...rather than based on our recollections....

Re: Trade Between Kure and Hyakujuu
Agreed. It seems the Constitution has changed, as that section I quoted from an old post seems to have been removed from the document itself. I also have no problem with this trade or waiver deals but clarity is needed.Trendsetters wrote:I guess my point was that if there is a moratorium on waiver deals it ought to be spelled out in the constitution...rather than based on our recollections....

Re: Trade Between Kure and Hyakujuu
Not really a waiver deal? No players are involved, just picks and cash?
