I confirm. Just looks like I won't be signing my first rounder Fujihara. It's alright though, as Yamasaki is LRS readyBorealis wrote:Aurora has come to terms with Kawaguchi on a transfer deal:

Re: Transfer from Aurora to Kawaguchi
It will be interesting to see if this prompts changes among PEBA owners now that they see how much yen we have over here. PEBA-to-LRS transfers until now have been rare and transacted for much lower amounts.
Two possible results:
--More PEBA owners now to try clear more Japanese born players to make them eligible for transfer.
--More PEBA owners try to claim Japanese born players on waivers to prevent competitors from getting a huge infusion of cashola.
Or, maybe nothing will change, and this is just an anomaly.

I went as high as I could but had to back down after many million. I hope it opens up the flood gates for more quality Japanese players coming to the LRS

Interesting. The money is comparable to top signing bonus money but without the wait of development. Not a bad deal at all.

Re: Transfer from Aurora to Kawaguchi
This must be a record? Congrats on both sides for making a potentially record breaking deal!
I concur. It will be interesting indeed. I suppose it is based on the supply and demand of the market. The transfer amount is dependent on if there is a suitor. I don't think it will change the way I handle things or Florida's business model.Ghosts wrote:It will be interesting to see if this prompts changes among PEBA owners now that they see how much yen we have over here. Re: Transfer from Aurora to Kawaguchi
It'll be interesting to see what this does for the market overall, but I can't imagine what Yamasaki must feel like. $7M? Seriously? Maybe I need to get my contacts changed. Think what kind of yen a guy who actually played at the PEBA level might bring. :)
