I am not excited to trade Corbett at all. He is our best player, and is on a very reasonable contract. I think this deal makes the Nutmeggers a contender today since they essentially give up nothing from last year's team and get one of the top players in the league at one of the most difficult positions to fill.
Probably could have gotten a little more. Everything here is a crap shoot -- the two prospects may or may not pan out, and the two picks may not become anything in value. What this does do is help us cut even more salary, and re-stock the farm in Omaha. This is probably going to be another long season for the Cyclones....

I'm quite excited about adding Corbett (although I think Collins, was and is Omaha's best player). Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember discussing a Kettley for Corbett deal a few years back, but I no longer remember if we actually had those discussions or if I was just contemplating them in my head. Now I finally get him. My scouts love John Howe, and he showed some progress last year, but he is very young.

Huge boost for Connecticut's lineup. I had Corbett #3 on my Sovereign League Royal Raker ballot, which is just where he ended up overall. The Nutmeggers are going to be fierce in 2019.
