Chiefs win

#1 Post by Hitmen »

I know no one else cares, but the Syracuse Chiefs actually won their home opener yesterday. I skipped out of work early to attend, simply because they finally replaced that hideous turf with grass. Padded the walls, moved the bullpens to the foul area, warning track...all nice, but they installed GRASS!

You have no idea how much that means to most of us local fans.

The two or three of us that are left. :-P

Now hopefully we can get us that Mets affiliate and dump these idiots from up north.

I know the Chiefs suck. I don't think that is ever the question.

They followed up the win by being swept in Saturday's double header, including an 11-inning loss after leading, and almost being no-hit in the 7-inning nightcap.

Yes, baseball is back

i gave up minor league ball when they moved the AA Indians from Canton to Akron.

of course, i'm not living there now, but it was fantastic while it lasted.

The only games I went to for the last two years was when our company gave away tickets to a suite. The rumor is the Club is hoping to get the Mets franchise for next year, so maybe, just maybe, there will be more fans.
